Did someone say lazy edit?

When I care enough to actually edit it properly it'll look nicer but hopefully this will keep both you and and fizz happy for like 2 seconds.

5 minute edit times woo. An actual edit will probably take a few days because I'm REALLY lazy.

@Stuff Reminds me of that unused story image of Filia and Fortune hanging out at sunset. Like a lot. Was that your intention, or was that just a huge coincidence. Either way great job!

Personally I wouldn't want a graveyard stage. I hate that whole "Halloween world" aesthetic, like in Tim Burton films and Soul Eater. Skullgirls is way too stylish for that gimmicky stuff.
Sorry, I know a lot people have wanted that stage for a LONG time, but that's just my opinion. No offense intended.

Nope I just looked for something fairly easy to edit to show that there is some interest in doing these edits.

(Although I do remember the image but it wasn't really what I was going for.)

I got a little less lazy and didn't just move the hue/saturation tab around.

As you can see the buildings retain (more or less) their original colors. clouds are still a little messed up. I haven't messed the shading file thing. This is kinda time consuming and I dunno what a doodle sunset looks like.

Progress.

Also should this just go in the modding thread? because if so just move it there.

I don't really want to hijack Flotilla's thread, but just a note that this stage will require a lot of work before it stops looking off.

Rooftops has very distinct directional lighting on the buildings and clouds - it's coming from very high above and so it lights everything almost directly on their tops. Automatically this gives us the impression of sometime around noon, or at least the early afternoon. During a sunset, obviously the sun is much closer to the horizon and everything will be lit very harshly from one side and the clouds will be lit from the side or beneath.

For a sunset the buildings' lighting can be faked sort of convincingly without a crazy overhaul because they already have distinct shadows on one side, despite the almost vertical light. The clouds however will always look super weird unless they're redrawn because the light is clearly coming down from above. You could try something like inverting them. It'll still look weird, but maybe less so.

You may not actually notice these sorts of things when you're looking at a picture, but on some level you will be aware of them and it'll always look wrong even if you don't know why.
