USA [Jul 11, 2014] Skullgirls Encore EVO 2014 Official Side Tournament (Las Vegas, NV)

- Wireless controllers are allowed but it is strongly recommend that you remove the battery; if you interrupt another match you WILL be disqualified.

If a match is interrupted and we cannot find the culprit, wireless controllers will be BANNED FOR EVERYONE from that point onward unless they have their batteries removed.

Is there any considerable difference between Dual Shock 3 controllers and the original SixAxis controllers with regards to how they work with a PS3 system?

I recently got a DS4, but I'm worried I won't be accustomed to it prior to the start of the tournament and will need to use my SixAxis (the battery has been removed).

If the battery has been removed, then it's ok.

DS4 is pretty nice, though.
 
So I've asked about this before, but since basically everyone will be at this tournament I'll try again: Someone left an Updont shirt in my hotel room at NEC. I don't know whose it is. Did you go to NEC and leave a large Updont shirt there with all the tags still on it? If so this is probably that shirt! If that sounds familiar let me know, I can bring it with me and return it to you.
 
POS already posted it for me, but I came in to let everyone know that top 8 will take place on Saturday, July 12th at 1:00PM Pacific at the Mad Catz booth on their enormous stage, and will be streamed on their official channel twitch.tv/madcatz!!! Please shower @madcatz and @markman23 will lots of love on twitter for accommodating us!

Also note that online registration ends TONIGHT at midnight. This is your last chance to register for $10, instead of paying $15 on-site.

When do we get our pool schedules? I need to know if mine overlaps with anything.
 
I have Ultra SF4 pools on Friday at 12 PM. I'm not sure if they'll take an hour, and I'm sure they won't, but in case they do, what's the protocol for overlapping pools? I'll be sure to sign in early regardless I'm just wondering what happens if you're in the Skullgirls pool and another pool at the same time.
 
I'll put out a pools schedule some time tomorrow.

Don't mess it up for everyone else. Yes, this happened before.

Basicly, you don't need to, but you'd be using it at your own risk.
 
Is there anything happening on Thursday night like last year at the Hitbox Arcade?

Online registration is now closed. 140 entrants at present. We'll draft up the pools and post a schedule tomorrow.

If I remember correctly, the venue this year is further away from HBA than last year, so it's not practical.

What are the chances of getting top 16 streamed? UFGT was able to get it all under 2 hours, but I understand keeping it to 8 since the schedule and wrangling folks is going to be significantly crazier.
 
If people are all there on time we can try very hard to do top 16. But we'll have to stick to the rule that if we can't find you when we call you within 30 seconds you are DQ'd, so all sixteen people better BE THERE THE WHOLE TIME.

It'll work fine while connected through a USB cable.

Pull the battery and get it taken care of before you even leave for the tournament.

It's going to take you a bit to get it all back together.

POOL SCHEDULE IS HERE

Pools will take place on Friday, July 11th from 10:00AM.

Following a short break after pools, Top 32 will play through to Top 16 from 7:00PM on Friday night.

We're gonna try to squeeze top16 into the span of 2 hours on Saturday, so wish us luck on that. :P
