Eliza SPOILERS - Eliza Story Mode Discussion

So living weapons might have been parasites or derive their power from them? Theons and Theonite have to do with living weapons? Where does it begin?

Ok maybe its not super clear but its implied and im willing to go with that as a major theory. All we know is that they are magic beings(ish) and a lot come from the chess kingdom. Also the fact that
Theons are more powerful when synced w/ an avatar
and that they have less power b/c they are not attached to those who wield them and thus cant unlock their true potential

Okay,what did I miss,who did I miss and do I have barf out money I don't have just to buy the entire DLC just to play this story mode?
 
I'm just gonna say this. Eliza's story mode made Double look like nothing. And Double consumed everybody in her own story! (except DLC characters of course). I think we found our Chaotic Evil Skullgirl.

If you're asking if Eliza costs money, the answer is no. Eliza is free for the first three months starting today, nab her before time's up you'll never have to pay a cent for her.

Yea, I actually thought about throwing the match for two reasons.
I already curb stomped Cerebella, my sheer awesomeness was too much for her and I killed her.
I like Squigly too much to smack her into oblivion.
 
Wow...Eliza is such a bad bitch! I may be a lil biased since I love villains anyway but Eliza...she's a special kind of villain. I love her. I have no complaints about any of her actions.

Holy shit, Eliza's story was awesome! From the moment I saw that she had to work with Bella I knew it wouldn't end well but damn...I just expect her to just beat the shit out of Bella and send her ass back home. Nah, Eliza killed her cold blooded.

I like how her story gave us some more lore, and I'm liking Eliza as a villian.

Just one question, how did Marie manage to survive after not only getting her ass kicked but also having the skullheart destoryed? And not only that but also go full Mega Maid mode.
 
Well that was an interesting story mode. I would have loved to have played through it if Eliza didn't hit a damn wall against Marie. Could you guys have made her any harder to use? Nice that we learned a bit more about the canon, through. Shocking events all around. Eliza is completely sick and ruthless and I love it. How unfortunate that she's Roll Tier. (Spare me the accusations of being shit at this game, I'm well aware of it.)

Really quick though. Fortune ending up as a headless lap slave to a smoking hot blood goddess...

DAMMIT ALEX! STOP STEALING MY FANTASIES!!! =P

Edit: I had the story mode set to nightmare...Eliza is actually pretty good once you wrap your head around the mechanics.

Beowulf and cerebella walk into a bar and get drunk, after talking for a while beowulf ends up saying "I want to bone you bella". "Me too" shouts sehkmet as she busts out laughing.

ok i'm done now. Mainly because i can't think of anything funnier atm.

Wow, I just finished watching a playthrough and I'm impressed. As we've all been discussing, the story revelations and presentation were fantastic, but can we give a shout out to the artists? Holy moley...that was impressive. All the new art in this is astounding. The finale stuff and Gehenna especially. All of this just felt bigger and fantastic. I'm really happy I voted for Eliza.

I got the impression Double & the skullheart are one in the same, at least in mind.
 
To be honest i didn't like the story. It didn't truly answer any questions the other stories brought up, it gave a poor story for Eliza where she just came off as flat and 1 dimensional, and it left on a really dumb unnecessary cliff hanger. The only good thing that I can take away from this is that I have Eliza for free and the interesting new stage "Gehanna".

She didn't nab it by the end of the story either apparently, since Fortune's still alive. Did she really want it for herself, or did she want to keep it away from Lorenzo?

Fortune technically is the life gem. It would seem to be more useful to Eliza in that form because Fortune's body creates unlimited amounts of pure blood for her to feed on.

all i got out this is:
squigly is now a skullgirls alarm clock,
eliza is basically samson's dotting mother who just wants him to hook up with a nice host (...not that one a better one)
samson leviathan and sekhemt were the gods before the trinity religion became popular
you let two kids die one time and now the skullheart won't let you make any wishes (like wtf)
Squigly and Filia are rude as fudge (how'd you like it if someone ganged up on you when you're in the tub)
appearently Eliza sucks blood like a jojo's vampire with finger straws
Lorenzo looks like a muppet
So basically what I'm getting at is
...
ELIZA DID NOTHING WRONG
She was a complete angel from start to finish. bless her bloody bloody bloody...bloody...bloody bloody lil' soul

Okay yeah, after playing the story again, she didn't seem interested in the Life Gem. She was more interested in having an endless blood supply to feast on. Though she was considering using Fortune to lure Lorenzo out of hiding near the end.

Gehenna stage automatically goes down as my favorite stage (alongside Nightmare Crest and and Meridian Assault) for reminding me of the fetus stage from Darkstalkers, Castlevania, Saya no Uta, and a certain DLC bosses arena in Borderlands.

Also I'm kinda sad Big Band never got to try anything to stop her. His win quote against her made me think he had some sort of past conflict or relation with her somewhere in the past.

Now we just need to live out that Kaiju Fight.

Yes, this is more than I hoped for, better than I expected. Eliza played her role exactly the way I wanted her to.
I really don't know what to say right now other than bravo Lab Zero.
 
Sigh...uhhh mini rant? i don't know. unpopular option? whatever...

I love how i can sum up Eliza's personality in one sentence said by Filia: "All I got was, She's Evil." nothing else is really given about her. her backstory is quickly mention in tiny, not very helpful pieces all through out the story mode that could have given Eliza some depth, but all they do is enforce the fact that she is evil. and where was Valentine? She was still working for the Skull Girl, could we at least have Eliza look at Valentine be like " I'm sorry i don't have time for a check-up, can you take a rain-check?" and smack Val so hard that she falls unconscious? I just... sigh... man there could have been so much done to Eliza's character but they didn't they just did exposition. I hate that in a story.
