I think the first thing can be explained by saying that 1P mode isn't actually 1P anymore, since practically everything can be co-op in the Wii U version at least. Smash Run/Tour is likely just their big new mode that they want to show off.
 
It could just be that you'll be able to change trophies to their alt colors and each one gets its own pose.
 
If you're going to add one song, Sakurai, one singular song to the Wii U version, for the love of the merciful Trinity, add this one.

 
Man, it is just IMPOSSIBLE to get all the Mii hats easily. Beating classic on 9.0 over and over with the Mii hasn't brought up the hats I need for the last challenge...

I actually thought it was a part of the current comic storyline she's got going on. Which is also about Roy babying on his absence in Smash. Except it's really about the confusion on Dark Pit and whatnot.

I specifically remember for a while in 2014, the comics were still labeled 2013.
Same thing with the year before that.
You can't exactly trust AZ time-stamps.

Because he was only put in to advertise for an upcoming game. He really was just the Dark Pit to Marth's Pit. And he became outdated when Ike came out - an actually likable lord.

Meanwhile Marth gets a free pass for being the first FE character.
 
Today in Smash School, I finally learned why Rosalina is considered so top tier.

I just got bodied by one. Was kind of a dick too, so, salt in the ol' wounds.

Roy is statistically the worst lord in the series, and being a Marth clone in terms of personality on top of it doesn't give him too many fans.

I'd be much more happy with him if for some reason they retconned the entire character and made him closer to AZ's version of Roy.

Well, that would be the best option, obviously, but it's too cool to ever happen with the way IntSys has been writing their games lately.

I thought Marth's game got remade and release in the US? Or something like that. Nonetheless, that still lessened his chances especially since appearance in Smash was there just to advertise that game. Lucas didn't get carried over from Brawl, so I don't see where your argument there is. Nintendo may have been planning to bring Mother 3 overseas way back when, there's no way of knowing what they were thinking (also note just how much Mother stuff was in Brawl-stage, boss, tons of music, character, SSE level...

... Didn't stop Tink (Since Melee if you count YL), didn't stop Falco (Since Melee), didn't stop Weegee (Since 64, heavily de-cloned in Melee).
By that logic, Tink/YL should have been cut off by now, and Falco should have been cut off by now, and maybe Luigi.

My point is that if Roy's cut was because they didn't want to include a Japanese-exclusive character, then why was Lucas in Brawl at all?
IIRC Brawl's release was after the petitions had been met with silence, and was definitely after Tomato's translation project started.

Being the star of FE 1 isn't as illustrious a position as one may think; it sold very poorly and is generally regarded as a bad game.
I still don't get how Marth, even now when we have access to all the games, is still regarded as the poster-boy, by fans and IntSys, even though he is the blandest lord in the series by far. He may even be the blandest character in general, which is really something when we're in a series that includes Awakening.
 
So I went to preorder Smash and a Link Amiibo today

Every single copy of the Smash Bros GameCube Adaptor Bundle AS WELL AS EVERY SINGLE AMIIBO HAVE ALL SOLD OUT

Literally they cannot get any more copies and are sold out.

I was able to get the game and adaptor separately (without the special edition controller, sadface), but the Amiibos all being sold out? Jesus Christ.

Oh yeah. And Pokemon is coming out on that day too.

Nintendo literally will get so much money it's not even funny
 
Goddammit why does it have to be so difficult. I WILL BE DAMNED IF I HAVE TO PLAY SMASH WII U WITH THE FUCKING GAMEPAD AT LAUNCH.
