Star Ocean 4 was a prequel, I guess. They showed it first, and everything else was chronological.

I'd give them 6.5, maybe a 7. They already confirmed FFXV won't be at E3 but at Gamescom, so I wasn't annoyed by that.

Square Enix had more games I was interested in, and none of them outright disappointed me like Nintendo did, so they did a good job. They just need to stop fucking talking so much.

Sony basking in that sunlight tho.

Hmm, so this is the first sony exclusive that platinum is working on. Platinum is getting bigger, now i have to buy a lot of consoles to get the games they are working on. =P

If I was to rate what conferences I was able to catch, in order of least to best, Ubisoft, Square Enix, Nintendo, and Sony.
Ubisoft... Yeah, I watched it, and it made me cringe so much.
Square Enix was alright, but the mobile games, uninteresting trailers, and way too much talking ruined it for me.
Nintendo was fine. Really enjoyably humble, as aforementioned, but the games were either already announced or kind of disappointing (except the Mario cross-over game).
Sony had some really exciting games in rapid succession which kept you hyped pretty consistently. They were acting really obnoxious though, which angered me.

Paper Jam empowered me to the point that I cannot be stopped anymore
other stuff was cute and I appreciated how humble they were the whole time
the video at the end made me feel genuine emotions

Sony rolled out The Big Punches but none of it is stuff that actually interests me or that I trust them to actually do well
but it was vaporware stuff that made people really hype so they did well and it was very clean and professional

we can all agree though
everyone was better than Ubisoft
 
I don't know what to be hyped about...

I mean, Fallout 4 would be a obvious, but i never played the previous fallouts (i had fallout new vegas, but the game was in spanish, so it was unplayable for me :/), but as someone who loved playing skyrim, i kinda know that they are very good at open world games.

Street Fighter V, yeah, i'm hyped about this game.

Transformers devastation, i am not a transformers fan, but it has potential, and i think platinum will make a solid system like always, and maybe there will be a fight against unicron Jerghinga Style. =P

Nintendo is clearly more focused on the 3ds than the wii U, so i'm not too happy, while i think my wii u was worth only because the games it already has, i would be happy about a new metroid u, Starfox looks cool, any news on Devil's Third? or it was already released? Now, i'm really interested in mario maker, since last year, i mean, after years seeing rom hacks like kaizo mario and shit like that, i really like the idea of having that in an official product, being easier to manipulate and things like that.

Not a single new about Scalebound yet? I know we will get more info, but when?

Honestly, i'm most interested in games already released that i don't have because i don't have a job, thus i don't have money to buy now than future releases.

Well, besides that, Nier, well, a game where platinum is working is a game i will give attention.
 
Disappointments aside we got Platinum doing Starfox, Nier is not only getting a sequel but a sequel that may be the first Taro game with good gameplay, Final Fantasy VII remake, Shenmue 3 and The Last Guardian. Hitman might turn out well, but that remains to be seen. And if the Smash Direct was part of E3 Ryu is pretty hype.
 
Just went back to check the Shenmue 3 kickstarter and it's at 2.6 mil and still going.

i liked the trailers, but i don't understand anything about Fire Emblem or SMT, so i don't know if i should get this game.

Eh, I really dislike it for a few reasons.
First, the fact that these two series have nothing to do with each other, and the fact that they're getting a cross-over really baffles me. It feels like a desperate grab for money.
Secondly, the character designs for the FE characters are really horrible. Marth and Chrom especially bother me. Marth has those weird face tattoos that look like he got them at a booth at a carnival for toddlers, and Chrom looks like a zombie which is really stupid.
Third, the trailers do nothing to get anyone excited for the game. Barely any gameplay, and it just cuts to introduce a character - cut again to some fanservice - repeat.
Fourth, there doesn't seem to be much hope for the game being good. I don't like how they're treating either series and it just feels really stupid.

I haven't even bothered watching the new SMT X FE trailer because the last one just looked like trash. Everything about the art and tone is just something I want no part in, which is a shame as I'm a huge Megaten fan and enjoyed the older Fire Emblem games.

Kind of surprised Persona 5 had no presence at the Sony conference.
