Fukua General Discussion

Personally I think if she had a special like spiral from mvc3 with crazy fast multi-hits using a bunch of her sprites already and ending with her hair flip attack could look pretty cool. ^^

I just had the mental image of Fukua Gamma Wave-ing with the animation from Filia's c.MP.

she was a clone of knuckles
a terrifying one at that

Foo-coo-ah is how Brady pronounces it in the Fukua streams so that is what I would go with it as well
 
The cool part I've noticed is that Fukua actually has a few unique normals compared to Filia. Her s.LP, c.LP and s.MK all came from Double, but her j.LP appears to be an animation that wasn't used anywhere else. So even in terms of normals, she appears to be better off than Decapre.

Guys. I don't know about you, but I just noticed this now: I caught a glimpse of the little rough character pictures on the loading screen before the match, and I was playing with Fukua and I could've sworn I saw Big Band's picture. I don't know how to prove it, but I swear it was Big Band's picture.

That's her picture as she doesn't have her own for now

Just a random thought. If Fukua is kept in (which appears to be likely) what if the announcer saying her name at the character select screen was actually sentence mixed from other announcer quotes? It'd stay in line with the "not a dime spent" theme she's got going on.
 
Anyone else think Fukua needs a page on the Shoryuken wiki?

She needs Filia's ambiguous j.HK though, then people will complain about her too

So, I guess Fukua's s.mk is called "Fukua sets mode+k". I feel like "Fukua sets mode" is a phrase I want to hear more often.

Has Mike or anyone said what all the palettes are? I'd also like to say I thought Palette 10 was the guy from Curious George, but then found out he has a not-red tie and black hair.

Mike said Fukua palettes are references to other clones.

Well I like her, but as others said she needs something to set a bit more apart from Filia visually.
Also, she needs better panty variety.
 
I'm probably gonna piss off a lot of people by saying this, but I feel like I have to. I personally don't want her to stay in the full game. I mean, this joke, when I found out about it, was hilarious. But... I look at it and think, "Really? A long term, permanent character?"

I mean, everything has so much love and work put into it, and Fukua only took, if I'm correct, three days. She's not... well... developed enough for me to even consider having her in the game permanently.

Get some funding for her, make her more different from Filia, develop her more, write some story and lines for her, maybe I'll consider it. Until then, I'm personally a "no".
