Since we kept derailing the Persona thread about Vita talk, just thought I'd make one here to keep Persona on topic.
Anyway, talk about PS Vita games, bundles, recommendations, PSN names, PS Plus free games, stuff like that in here.

Anyway, I've been wanting to get a PS Vita for a while, but as I said in the Persona thread, they just appear to not be anywhere, Borderlands 2 Bundle is gone, and they're not even selling the PS Vita Lite by itself.
So I checked the PS Vita Support forum

Just saw this floating around. Not sure how true it actually is; I've seen the Vita, new and used, floating around at retailers in small quantities. I guess it all depends on where you live, though I'm guessing the lower numbers could be due to retailers trying to clear out the Vita 1000 series before they start getting in the newer ones. I haven't seen too many places selling the updated ones yet.

What has really pissed me off ever since I got my Vita back in November for my birthday was the complete absence of the Hori Face Cover almost everywhere. It acts as a hard cover for the Vita while also covering the front and can be used as a stand. My friend got it due to the Muramasa Rebirth bundle and on top of looking really sweet, it solves the one problem I have with the Vita: the front getting all messed up while in my pockets. I just need to hurry up and buy the same Muramasa bundle since it looks like it's the only way I can get it.

Not sure how well that would go into a pocket, which is why I want the face cover, but $4 to $15 for that versus +$80 for the Muramasa bundle, especially since Muramasa Rebirth is free for Plus right now? It's a hard choice for me.

Whatever the case (haahaha! Sorry, unintentional puns), I quite like my Vita. It hasn't replaced my 3DS like my friend said it would, but it's a very nice handheld.
 
Yeah, I think the sheer fact is they're trying to get rid of all the old units before they end up selling the fancy new ones.
They're probably also preparing some neat as fuck bundles too, hopefully.
They better have some good ass bundles.
 
Excited for Freedom Wars and nice seeing good week 1 sales, but the numerous Japanese complaints about "too hard I die too fast" might ruin the experience for me if the game is too watered down since the developers said they will look into it. Most of these are from complainers playing stupid like going solo with a knife against a mob of human gun armed opponents and not even using cover/heal wisely. If your gonna play solo then you better play smart or accept death. All they need to do is get rid of the stupid stun lock off flamethrower and the game is fine. It's not even old NG max difficulty either. Feared this will be another watered down hunter game by the time I get my hands on it.
 
Used Wifi Vita on sale (70% off) for $90 with free shipping. If you don't mind pre-owned and want to get one cheap I suggest now unless you really want the slim model.
 
For those who own a Vita, how long is the battery life usually? My PSP currently gets 2-3 hours at best and I'm thinking of upgrading.
 
eh, its pretty good. I definitely say it's a good idea to charge it every night. but you arent gonna get TONS of extensive play with the Vita.

its a decent battery life though outside of playing games.
 
yo, if Corpse Party blood drive gets an english release I need to get a vita, that game is just too awesome to pass up
 
So, hate to bump, but Gamestop and Amazon have restocked on the PS Vita Borderlands 2 bundle.
Could this mean PS Vita Slims are finally being mass produced and we could get new bundles soon?
I certainly fucking hope so.

Congrats by now the Vita has a big enough library of popular games to seriously consider purchasing at the current price.

Like holy shit I forgot Liberty Wars comes otu at the end of the month and I completely forgot about Soul Sacrifice's existence
 
also, don't forget to buy a BIG memory card for your vita.
 
The bundle will come with an 8 Gigabyte Memory card, that should work for a bit.
Especially since I won't plan to use that Borderlands 2 voucher (at least at first).
It's just that there's fucking no other bundles right now.
And I don't think there will be.
If we don't get word on a November bundle for PS Vita we're not getting one at all this year. So it's literally my only choice.
 
As long as you don't overdo it with downloading and containing numerous entire games in your memory storage you might get by for awhile with 16gb or even 8gb if your strict with just saves/dlc/and maybe couple big games/several small ones. 4gb will make you suffer while 32/64 gb will give you a bit of breathing room.

Currently using 8gb and still have space since I try to avoid digital titles if there is a physical whenever possible.
 
Yeah pretty much. I'll just ask for a 16 GB card for Christmas or something.

God I wish we'd get new bundles soon though.
But I am 100% fine with getting this Borderlands 2 PS Vita Bundle though.

Just picked up Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus Let's get Physical Edition today at my local Gamestop since it released today. Easily one of the better Vita game CE bundles localized since you get a 140 page physical character bio/art book and 39~ song physical soundtrack + physical game (with flippable box art) all in a nice shiny box container for $50 (not including tax/fees) when $40 is the average regular Vita game initial release retail price. You could get just the game digital for $40 but paying only $10 more for all the physical goodies (while saving space on your memory storage) is a steal. I regret not getting an extra one off Amazon to sell later because this limited release will disappear fast, but need to use that money for more games coming out really soon.

I played the first couple of missions of the vanilla version.

not bad. not my thing but not bad. definitely worth picking up if it's your thing.
 
I think its a good buy, especially with all the free dlc.
