I guess just for this year I want to go to EVO just to have the experience. Seeing how well UFGT, now CB, and I'm liking their new concepts so I'll start making a habit going to CB every year instead of EVO.
 
Welllllll, wouldn't Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late fare better if it had a different title? Something not so long or convoluted? Everyone tries to ignore it with the acronym UNIEL.

Besides, "In-Birth" sounds gross and can be taken as a mistranslation. In Japanese, the "In-Birth" is インヴァース or invāsu. Which translates to "In Verse". But I'm getting way off-topic...

I'll go further than that by saying I think it's the worst game title, perhaps the worst franchise title, perhaps even the worst string of irrelevant words that I have ever seen in my life. It sounds like the name of a game that would be dead.

Not criticizing the game, I'm sure its fine, but I hate that title.

So? Most of the people who play fighting games don't give a crap about the story at all.
 
I don't think UNIEL didn't get into EVO because Mr. Wizard was like 'man this name is too complicated', when things like Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition 2012 exist, or Guilty Gear XX Accent Core.

The amount of people who are both 'I am put off or uninterested in this game because of its title' people and also 'I would have played this game at tournaments and supported it' people is probably a pretty small amount.

(I'm not saying the name is good)
 
I like the name to be honest. It is weird enough, that I like it.

In any case, how is the UNIEL community holding up? Is it fairly large? It and SG are the two biggest side tournies I am interested in.
