Peacock Combo Thread

Not a combo in general, since Throws can be teched while staggered

Yeah you're right, but still. It looks cool.

I'm pretty sure for that first combo you can sneak in an item drop for a little more damage.

Does anyone actually use these item, dashjump, j.mk, j.hk combos? They always felt super inconsistent to me.

But yeah, as tj said, if you put a M item drop between the j.hk and the j.lk you get a bit more damage in the first combo.

I use them, they're pretty awesome.
Mine is slightly different form that one though but I do the same combo on heavies as lights but with a 5mk after the j.mk j.hk so that the rest of the combo is the same.
It's probably less damage, but it's still a lot and not too inconsistent.

I use them, all the time actually.

I was gonna wait for some notable Peacock players to post and say they use them, cause I knew they did, and I was gonna post and say they did, but this is easier.

I don't use them at all, I also think they're inconsistent as hell. However, if TJ is doing them, and other people, git gud, etc, it's just us?
But yeah, seriously, can't find good timing for those combos. I avoid them, I know they're possible, even practical, I guess, since people use them all the time, but for me, they're practically GARBAGE.

Until it clicks one day then I'll quietly ignore this post I made and do all the otg jMK jHK combos.

it's not that hard really.

fuuuuuuuuuuuuu I knew I was forgetting something. I noticed the damage was off but I chalked it up to argus being argus.

Also yeah, I pull these combos fairly consistently in matches.

I used to have a lot of trouble with getting sHK xx item jMK jHK combo but I'm starting to land them when playing. For anyone who has trouble I think the trick is to get the distance from the end of the sHK animation. If you cancel it too early you'll be too far and landing the jMK is really hard which might the inconsistency everyone is talking about. And then of course you need to dash jump forward.

You can do something like that and still get a kill even at a 2 v 2 ratio.

You're right, kinda. Every other case is ALMOST a kill in 2v2 if you spend a 4th bar. Except for this one:
NORMALLY, if that lands as a regular ol' Level 3 Item Drop, it goes s.LK c.MK Devil Horns, into s.LPx2 c.MP s.HK xx Cerecopter xx Dynamo and you'd leave them with 0.1k~ health. I could've also done that off of the Roadroller for actual full optimization but I didn't feel like it, it's an extra 230~ damage though.

I know these weren't really Peacock combos but it's all set up from Peacock so here it goes

That is like the coolest combo ever lol. Beats my combo with 4 taunts in it.

Found a boring but practical route that can kill 2v2 without an assist for 4 meters (15,544 damage). No video, but the inputs are:

MP Bang xx Lenny DHC Rocks
s.HP delay xx Kanchou
Devil Horns c.MK /\ j.MP j.HK
s.HP xx Pummel Horse
microdash c.LK c.MP s.HP xx Runstop
s.LP(2) s.MP s.HP xx Cerecopter xx Dynamo

There are certainly more stylish ways to do it, though.

As a side note, if you don't do the c.LK, you end up at exactly 15,499 damage.

if this needs to be moved to the bella combo thread, don't hesitate to say so/move it

I dunno if it needs to be moved. Anyone it's useful for posts here anyways since they play Peacock. Maybe crosspost it on the Bella forums though.

Speaking of taunts do people utilize tenrai ha as combos/setups/resets
I like it as a way to tag to Big Band safely. I don't know of a great way to taunt safely though. I usually only do it right after killing a character.

I made a playlist of standard Peacock combos and conversions a couple of months ago as suggestions for 2nd Encore combo trials, and the game's out now so I made it public! Nothing in here is new and it's not a comprehensive list of all her best combos, but hopefully they should be helpful for people wanting to pick up the character.

I dunno if this would be useful for any other Peacock/Robo players, but I found this and love it. It'll probably be pretty rare when this is actually useful, but hey, it works.

The quality's even worse than usual from me. Sorry...
For those who can't tell what's going on - I can't blame you with how bad the video looks - you just call Headrone Impact while doing a back throw, then do Boxcar George into George's Day Out, then do a launch and you can do whatever after that. You have to cancel into the second bomb as quickly as possible to get it, or it won't work.

Also, for the people asking above, you can taunt as the level 3 item drop hits after Lenny>Argus and still continue the combo afterwards, as I saw from Mr. Peck. So for example: Whatever into LP Bang>Lenny>HP Item Drop>Argus>Lvl 3 Item Drop hits>taunt>Teleport>combo, and then you have a Tenraiha ready for whatever. That's the best way to get it safely aside from after a KO, as far as I know.

Might be done once.
A really simple midscreen combo with triple argus and Bomb.
Didn't saw there was a thread like that, wanted to see if it was possible to use all 5 meters, didn't found a way but end up doing a combo finisher by using 4 meters.

You get a safe taunt off any throw, either by just cancelling to it after the throw or by doing throw -> hold item, taunt, drop item if they move after getting up; after Lenny/Argus; and s.HK (like LK->HK...MP MP up) is only -5, although that's riskier.

H Pinion Dash lets you combo off H Bang at fullscreen...either randomly, or you can do things like H item xx Argus, drop Lv2 item + pinion + H Bang x3, combo or burst bait.

Lenny -> Argus can be repeated indefinitely as long as you have the meter.

An easy way to get in a Lenny + Argus combo:

:LP:, :LP:, :MP:, :HP:, :QCF: :LP:, :QCF: :KK:, :QCF: :PP:

(Meter Level 2)

And for a Level 5 meter Extended Version:

Relatively easy combo with huge confirm range but your opponent can shake out of the stagger.

I have a question about the intermediate Midscreen bnb from the compendium/MrPecks combo videos. I'm having a super difficult time doing the sHK xx H Item Drop xx argus at the end of the combo when I try comboing on Bella/Big Band/Double because they fall to the ground too fast. Either the argus hits but I canceled H item too fast so no shadow, or H item is held appropriately and argus doesn't hit them and they hit the ground and tech up since otg was used. The lighter characters I've tried against so far seem fine; I haven't tried it on all characters yet but I think I've practiced on most to get the normal gist But these characters still were giving me a difficult time. Is there a hint or key to doing sHK xx H item xx argus that I'm missing? These combos say universal so afaik no one does any different combos on them specifically.

i dont really do anything different but when i play heavier characters the timing is more strict on sHK xx H item xx argus combos that keep opponents off the ground

It does work on everyone but it's a lot tighter on heavy characters. I don't think it's frame perfect but it's pretty tight. FWIW I don't usually bother with it against heavy characters since I usually drop it, I just go straight into M Gun xx Argus.

Yeah that makes sense, I'm mostly just wondering since I wanted to know how to do some combo and get in 2 supers at the end of it (be it double argus or lenny argus).
