There's only one appropriate reaction to this:

What do you mean?
...it's the profile page for Previously Recorded's twitch channel :/
Oh, I thought it was to your previously recorded archive, since the link looks that way if you copied it from your dash ^_^'' my bad.

Okay, it seems like people are already commenting on the chat, but it's about comics. If you want, try to send them the IGG link, and don't forget to mention that Shovel Knight will be a guest character.

oh... Rich Evans and his crew...

gee i wonder if they like anime

wait i mean cartoons sorry.

Not really sure who they are. They got scared by the amount of money L0 needs, tho, and there's an annoying guy who won't stop saying it's just a scam. Goddamnit. At least we're close to 760k now.

What kind of link is that? XD
Is this like the Who's On First of Twitch?

If anyone is in the stream chat, you can see why springing crowdfund campaigns on people while they're streaming is not always a good thing. They seemed tepidly interested at first, then visited the page and immediately went "Holy shit. 1.5 MILLION?! This is way too insane" and then immediately moved onto other things.
In the middle of the stream they don't have the chance to check up on why the game might cost that and it just leaves a sour taste in all their viewers mouths. It's generally better to approach people off stream before hand... then maybe bug them in their next stream if they don't have the game on :P

Sounds more like he's stupid for thinking that's an observe price for a game.. Meaning he isn't educated enough to know that he's in the wrong.

You're not going to convince people if the first way you describe them is stupid.

It doesn't matter if people are stupid or uninformed. The only thing that matters is how they present the game. If they present it badly, then that's a blow against Indivisible. If we want to get the game funded, we have to work with people's lack of understanding and present it in such a way they can adjust their opinion. Just saying they're stupid isn't changing their mind or getting us new backers.

This is why it's better to sell streamers on things BEFORE they're live on stream. It gives them a chance to absorb and deal with shocking figures like that 1.5million. They don't have the liberty of pausing their stream to go read up on Mike's arguments for why it's a fair number.

I was in there for a minute, but once I remembered it was the RLM guys, I knew it was gonna be a little rough. You could tell after Jack made that quick comment about the budget, he kinda backed off a bit, probably while remembering that his group makes around $200k+ a year for smashing VHS tapes and talking about Star Wars.

I like those guys, but yeah, definitely a hard target for this kind of game under those circumstances. Kinda too bad, because I actually think they would enjoy the game in the right environment. They've already played stuff like Guacamelee, Banner Saga, and a bunch of Zelda games before.

It's partly the industry's fault and part normal human error. Most people don't know how much games actually cost to make. Ideally, we gotta ask them to check it out AND explain it in the same conversation/message. It's hard to have quick counters to each snarl-query (e.g. "holy shit one and a half million!?"). If one of our people comes through, like Markiplier, I'd hope he's level-headed enough to first think "whoa" and then keep reading. If only there were a quick-link to the "budget" sub-section on the IGG page - that'd make it an easier point to explain.

EDIT: I made a puush version of the section. http://puu.sh/lePsA/08bcf4a888.pdf
If you click that, it'll open a tab with a PDF with the information people need to see.

Replying to comments about my post:

Yeah.. I was a bit harsh when I said that x,x I guess I was irritated that he didn't honestly think it through or even follow up on his chat...

So since someone suggested to try and contact Joel from Vinesauce, I thought I'd whip up something Fist Of The North Star related to help grab his attention and make him laugh...Unfortunately, his YouTube account was hacked and all his videos were deleted, so he's busy dealing with that. I'll share it anyways though, maybe someone will get a kick out of it. If Joel ends up seeing it I hope it cheers him up :)

Edit: Rehosted

(I wanted to do the whole intro, but despite looking so bad, it takes way longer than you'd think @_@)

given there's only a week left...why don't we hold a stream the full period of time? someone taking over to watch the stream and keep it lively every so often? it'd take a bit of man power and on the fly planning, but something like that could serve as a way for people to jump to and get immediate answers and see the game/lab zero in action?

So did markiplier even end up playing the proto?

I could probably do it, although my upload speed is pretty shitty. EDIT: Also don't have any followers on twitch but I'll probably try. Im presuming it'd just be an indivisible marathon.

http://www.twitch.tv/score38 streaming here. I'm just streaming the game, no mic or music or anything.
Nevermind now

Well I specifically meant is setting up a stream probably on a uniified channel where we can have a stream or hosted stream going in at all times to get Indiv a place for immediate info from other players. Streaming is great, but going a full week yourself would be crazy

Well that's a much better idea. I really hope the EU release of the prototype on ps4 gives it enough of a boost to reach 900K. Is there a specific date for when they have to reach 900K?

Im hoping its a wednesday and not teusday

Whatt time is the cutoff though?

Oh crap, hopefully they don't wait until Friday to file for the extension. Check the date! The Curse is gonna be out in full effect that morning. Everyone's computers could go down...IGG guy might forget to check messages...somehow Peter misread a detail on extension policy...who knows. Might be best to do it Thursday evening at the latest.

Heck, the Curse even attacked James Chen today, so we gotta be ready!

also on that link has a link for Indivisible's "52%" news mark, which is the 3rd link in.

Someone (with the bandwidth) log in and talk about how we're actually further in than "52%"? XD People are forgetting that these things are Pre-recorded and usually never up to date XD

We're doing well, but not getting ahead of ourselves. We've still got work to do, words to spread, and dreams to see through...

On that note, at this point what would be a good move to gain publicity? Any suggestions?

other than poke every last person you can find? Erm, more videos only this focusing on what Lab Zero has planned for the whole game. You know other incarnations, weapons, and the parts of the world that Ajna will be exploring. Judging from all of the incarnations and where they all come from we can safely guess that Ajna is really going to be traveling around.

Many people were reluctant to give interest to this campaign because of the purcentage vs. total amount needed vs. time left. Now that we have 3 weeks left and 61% (and also under less than 100,000 to be able to have an extra digit to the amount raised, which is psychologicaly really strong) it will be easier to get people's attention.

I wish I had more gamers (and gamers that have money to spare, actually) in my entourage to convince. Animators and artists are not really into games in general.

notice an absence of indivisible posts on newgrounds so I'm gonna try and advertise there. You think there would be some talk on there seeing how if the game gets funded they would need to hire artist and stuff and there are artist there.

wait newgrounds is still a thing? wow...

i personally thought the website died out after 2013

well it's still there so...it's worth a shot

Hmm...has anyone contacted Chris Niosi? Of Time fame? His Kirblogs are pretty popular and he's huge into Voice Acting, so he may be interested.

I haven't noticed any Indivisible related content on pixiv (the japanese equivalent to deviantart), I'm might try to draw a pamphlet or something to educate people on there. Anybody know japanese?

you dont have to know japanese to go on. they have an english version

Is there any chance anone here wants to make an easily customizable color palette for some of these characters? I can make palettes like I used to for Scythana for some of these guys. I'd like one for Zahra and Pheobe, if anyone wants to.

Very little, but I've seen some Japanese artists on there with some very good English. Though if you want me to try, while I'm sure I don't know enough to make a pamphlet, I can probably make some shorter phrases if you tell me what it is you want to say.

well we're going to have to wait and see if LZ is going to pop out the false colour maps for characters... that or we're just going to have to do that on our own...
