With this seemingly a possibility, I'm wondering which songs you guys would like to hear "Kikuta-fied"? It may be a character theme or just an iconic song. I look forward to seeing the not-suggestions! rip in juju never forgettu

Seriously that's like Shantaes most iconic theme.
 
Well for example how Raito did it in UNiB for their guest characters [Sion/Akatsuki] was remixing their respective game openings.

Not saying that will happen in this game, but that is a realistic option especially for someone like Annie that has no official character/stage theme to work with.
 
Red would probably either be In Circles or The Spine. Not sure how iconic they are, but they are the first songs that Transistor brings to mind.

I think that if they've got Kikuta lined up for 2-3 hours of music, they'd wanna use him for original compositions, not remixes. Secret Of Mana's soundtrack was only about an hour, but PS1 rpgs started to clock in at 4+ hours of music. If they were to aim for a middle ground, it'd be right around the amount they've contracted him for.

There may end up being remixes, I just don't think they'd pull Kikuta away from composing to do them. Maybe LZ will tap Blaine & Brent, again, something like that.

For Shantae:

I believe Virt once said that he was most proud of this track out of everything he's ever done for Shantae. Burning Town is also good, but I love this one.

For Shovel Knight:

First track Virt ever composed for Shovel Knight, for its first level. Really catchy, melodic, and I think that a proper orchestration could sound amazing.
 
Both are good and fit the characters. Who knows. Lets see what LabZero can pull out. Either way we know it's gonna super hype pulling off chain combos with these characters.

I agree that Strike the Earth has gotta be Shovel Knight's theme. However, I just realized that if Kikuta did a remix of say, the Skullgirls Theme for Annie, and Treasure Knight's theme for Shovel Knight, then you could say that Kikuta actually covered a Yamane song AND a Matsumae song in the same game. I never would have thought that kind of crossover was even possible!

Yeah, I hope they consider giving a few tracks to those guys, along with Vincent. They all did such a good job with Skullgirls, and it'd be cool to hear them do some RPG stuff here. Maaaybe some of the high-tier contributors might want to ask about having them compose the music for their custom Incarnation, Boss, or Secret Area? Hmm?

There's really only one song, everyone's already said which one. The rest are themes of other characters. But if that didn't matter, here's my list.

wait... why disco ballz? That really doesn't fit with Annie's whole... theme. My guess is that the LZ crew will make Annie's theme an original track. But if they were to remix a song from the ost it would be... The Streets of New Meridian. Aka "Moonlit Melee"
