congratulations to your winner, the dark horse of puzzle fighting @Luweewu

thank you to everyone who participated and watched.

Also as an extra incentive to watch, since last tournament with X men vs Street fighter, I've been doing a live drawing section until the tournament starts, drawing a picture related to the game that is coming up. I encourage anyone watching to participate with the stream and draw as well.

here is the type of art to expect

Oh dang, the one game (besides Vampire Savior) I really wanted to play and I missed it. Oh well.

As someone who just found out you have a shmups forum account like two weeks ago, I am both bummed and elated at your absence (because you probably would've kicked my ass).

Maaaaaan you need to give people more time. I was on here earlier waiting for something to start. Now I come back and it's already over ;3

Maybe post in the morning and let people sign up from then until starting time?

Also maybe respin the wheel if you get the same thing too many times? This is like the third time we've gotten puzzle fighter, and the last one wasn't too far back. Meanwhile there are several games IIRC that have not been picked once I think (alas the dark side of rng).

I start the stream 20 minutes before the tournament, and I usually give 5-10 minutes after the tournament is set to start, to start. I don't make the signups until I spin the wheel so people know what they're actually signing up for. I understand though its still a really last minute last second thing.

I'm not sure how exactly to handle the wheel business. There are games people don't want to play on it, and I admit I'm kinda biased when it comes to repeats. If a game has been played again, but its something that me/people would want to play (probably the only reason windjammers has happened like three times). It would probably be a good idea to take a game off the wheel after its been played, but that isn't how we did it before, and I feel like it cuts down on the random aspect.

Player input for the games/when/and how would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely feel like we should have some sort of rotation system in place, just to keep the variety up. Might be fun to have some bad games/outdated games (i.e., SF2 Turbo, MvC, Art of Fighting 2) in the wheel too, since we wouldn't touch them otherwise. Not really sure what to do about starting time though; maybe have the wheel spin earlier and give people an hour to sign up? That seems a bit long though.

frosty faustings is happening right now so I encourage you to watch that so no ggpogirls.

I'm thinking out a solution for the problems regarding the way things work and I think I've almost got something. What if signups start the week before, and everyone who enters submits one game on fightcade (either pinging me here or some other method) to play to add to the wheel. Each round either double elim or swiss the wheel gets spun and the game picked drops off.

The way I envision this, its better because its not as last minute so people can sign up in advance, and everyone gets a chance to play a game they want. Realistically this would get difficult the more people that enter but like every one of the last ggpogirls have had less than five people including myself.

Lemme know what you guys think.

That could work. The only issue here is the possibility of dropouts over the week, but that's a problem every online tournament has had to work around, and not too big a deal.

fwiw I like doing to signups and stuff early since it means I can plan on it.

That said, I'm going to a friends party on saturday and I don't know when I'll get back so idk if I'll be on time.

Going to monthly on saturday prob, so I don't think I'll have energy for this week :(

This is really late but there won't be a ggpogirls this week and likely not one the following week. I could try running it tomorrow but it starts the same time as yaya's kumite which I wanna watch/play in.

One day I'll be able to call myself "good" at 3rd Strike. That day was not yesterday. (It wasn't a good day for Cyberbots either, but I've never played that game before yesterday, sooooooo....)

I might have to cancel ggpogirls this week because challonge is getting shot and I accidentally set the tournament an hour later than it should be because I forgot that pst is back to the same time as me.
