The Beginner Match Finder Thread!

My name is Riah, and I would qualify myself as a beginner. I am dying to get better at this game, but I do tend to have problems playing with large crowds spectating. I would prefer 1v1's personally.

Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198215618343

My timezone is EST -5 and I am within the East Coast of the US(New England). I play Filia and I am trying to learn Painwheel. I am down to play mostly after noon my time.

My neutral and defensive game is completely garbage, but I know most BnB's of the the characters above. Don't know how to play anyone else. So I would like to vastly improve in those areas, as well as being able to quickly reset.

Steam URL: http://steamcommunity.com/id/WasabiMustard/
I'm available everyday except wednesdays after 1:00pm EDT

I'm not really experienced, but I think i'm going to stick with Eliza while I learn the game.
Wanna get gud..so I got a lot of work ahead of me.

Hi I'm Lifetimes09 iv just recently taken alot of time and intrest into skullgirls and was wondering if I can do a set with a few people so I can get better. I own Skullgirls on 360 and on PS3.So please add me and leave a message .My XBL gamer tag is Ebonyknight09 and PSN is Lifetimes09

Steam URL: http://steamcommunity.com/id/Blaze8798
West coast USA
Available to play various times between 10am - 11pm

I play Fukua because she comes fairly easy to me, I'm wanting to play Miss Fortune as well in the future.

I'm new to fighting games in general, I've played Tekken a little bit though (Not enough to matter, just stating). My neutral game and defense is terrible and I want to improve on that and get more combos down.

PST. 60 hours played. Still not very good though. PM me for Steam ID. If you decide to add me, just hit me up whenever I'm online and ask to play.

Hi there, I'm benignInferno!!

As of now, I've played about 20 hours of Skullgirls with a lot of matches against friends who are much better than me. It's a bit hard to gauge what level of skill I'm at but I would consider myself a beginner but with good fundamentals, according to one of my rivals.

Steam URL: http://steamcommunity.com/id/benignInferno

My timezone is PST, I live in western Oregon and am online most of the time until Winter term hits. A good time to catch me to play a match would be around 1 to 4 PM.

I main Peacock and am trying to learn Beowulf. My defense is not all that great and I'm still trying to pick up some basic mechanics but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.

Hello there, the name is Mark, Steam name is The Iron Swan
Here's my Steam profile: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198061848367/
Timezone: GMT +1 (Denmark)

Aside from Tekken on PS3 i have limited experience with fighting games in general, i play mostly past past mid day and during the weekends, and am currently learning Peacock aswell as experimenting with Big Band and Eliza. I'm looking to 'git gud' with atleast 1 or 2 characters (I.E learn some BnB's and get a good feeling for the characters limits). Add me :-) I Speak fluent English.

Colorado, MST, play anytime within 1-5pm on weekdays.

I like Filia cause she's a cutie but I also like playing Valentine and MF.
I want to learn more about fighting games of all types, still need to know basics and LOTS of practice!!

Typical Availability: 5pm-9pm
Main: Parasoul
Secondaries: Valentine, Eliza

I have experience with Fighters via Killer Instinct on Xbox One, which I made to Killer rank in. That said, Skullgirls is a different kind of beast entirely and I'm still pretty clumsy at it. I've been playing Skullgirls very casually for about a year prior to recently deciding to get serious with the game, though, so I'm not completely in the dark.

Send me a friend request if you're interested in playing with me. I'm getting stomped online, so it'd be nice to play with other beginners. :P

Chicago IL, Central Time, I don't really have a specific time, just whenever I can.

I'm planning on learning Squigly, Filia, and Parasoul, possibly even Beowulf.

You might want to send me a PM telling me you'd like to play Skullgirls. I play TF2, and many random people add me there that I ignore, so please PM me if I accidentally ignore you!

*Edit: I've gotten pretty good since the original post. To give you guys an idea, I can play though Arcade mode in 'ridiculous' difficulty (second highest) with 1 or 2 losses, if any. I don't want to discourage anyone who was thinking of adding me.
If you want, I can play a character I haven't learned yet. I've been playing Squigly almost exclusively, so I could just avoid her if you'd like

Sup guys, Martian here. Mainly post over on SRK. My Gamertags should be to the left of my post.

I'm playing from Colorado, I've loved this game for years but I haven't touched it since Squigly was announced as a new character, lol. I'm pretty much always available so whenever you guys on PS4 wanna do some matches just shoot me a message, they go straight to my phone. I also play on PC.

I'm currently in the middle of a character crisis, but my mains back when I played were Valentine and Squigly.

Bonjour everyone, Ms. Mauls.. or She Who Mauls here. My Steam is the same as my name (She Who Mauls)

Also my country on my Steam account says the UK, I actually play from Tennessee. Had the game back when it was in vanilla, but my knowledge on Fighters were limited outside from playing Smash. Now I have it on PC and my characters are Eliza, Fukua, Parasoul. Very new to 2nd Encore, only had it since Christmas.

If anyone would like to just spar, I'll be around. Just leave a message and I'll get back to you shortly.

Keep young and beautiful~ ♥

Hey everyone

I'm a fresh fighting game player from the UK. New to Skullgirls (loving it right now!), mostly has experience playing Super Smash Bros. Melee. Very curious to see how deep my rabbit hole goes in this game. Learning it right now, so feel free to add me.

I'm from the UK so it's GMT - UTC + 0 and I am available throughout the evening.

My goals are of course, to get better and learn combos!

I'd like to play 8pm - 12am during the week and Saturday. On Sundays, I'm almost always available the whole day.

At the moment, considering to main Filia, Painwheel and Double for the 3-member team.
Goals: I'd like to break through the entry barrier and get good at this game and fighting games in general.

Hello, I go by Skodial. And I happily picked up my first fighting game after reading about how Skull Girls was more welcoming to people with no experience in fighting games.

My Steam address: http://steamcommunity.com/id/doctorheare/

I'm only using Filia, mostly because she seems to be the "introduction" character. I'm stuck in the tutorials, but so far really enjoying the game. I've never joined any kind of forum before, so I'm just excited I found this one

I found you on Steam and sent you a friend request. I'm new to both the game and the whole genre. You said that no one should feel discouraged if they are true beginners.

I really like the game so far. Despite being stuck in the tutorials, I'm excited to find new friends and getting better at a fighting game

Your profile says Philippines...
Please add me...!
I'm not a beginner by any stretch of the imagination, but I'd like to play some matches with nice ping~
I'd say I'm about Intermediate in terms of skill level.

I use the following teams:
Big Band (M or H Beat Extend / H Brass) ; Peacock (L George) [And the inverse, BB ; Peacock]
Double (H Bomber) ; Big Band (M Beat Extend / H Brass) [And the inverse, Double ; BB]
Team used depends on match-up~

Can't really teach you about any of your listed characters... but I can teach you general stuffs.
I can also maybe point out mistakes well enough, like "Use napalm shot to zone more" or something. If not by verbally pointing it out, then by repeatedly punishing it.

If you want... I can take it easy on you but if you're the type that learns through BLUNT TRAUMA then I can go full force, just say so.

Hi there, my name is Illusion, kinda new to the game too (~20hours).
Here's my steam Profile: http://steamcommunity.com/id/masterillusion/
I currently play Parasoul (solo, trying to learn one character at a time) and I tend to start button mashing after a few inputs for no reason. Trying to correct that, obviously.
I'm from Qc, Canada, EST time!

Heya, I'm Woon. I wouldn't necessarily say that I'm a beginner, or new to Skullgirls. All I can say is that I don't play SG or fighting games often enough to be extremely good. I can pull off a few decent combos with Squigly, and a couple with Big Band, but that's about it.

Xbox: The Chosen Woon
Steam: thechosenwoon

I'm in US Central time, and I can pretty much be on any time after 3 pm, any day of the week.

I mostly play Squigly, and Big Band whenever I need a backup. I also play a bit of Peacock.

I own the game on steam, but I REALLY prefer to play on Xbox, if you have it. If not, no worries.

Mostly just looking for others close to my skill level who I can talk to and spar with. I'm willing to exchange skype through PM if you ask.

Hello I'm MiracleBlade86 on Steam. I stay in France (CEST time zone) and I like to play usually around 9 or 10 p.m.

I'm used to play Filia but I'm trying to build up a team. Even if I've almost 150hrs under my belt I consider myself still a beginner. I've switched recently to play on Stick and, unfortunately, my execution got worst.

I would like to play somebody with a good ping (i.e. Europe) and with a similar skill level. If you want to play with me just add me on Steam.

A friend of mine who I play with on Xbox mains Parasoul, and I know that she is the hardest matchup against a Squigly player like myself. I'd love to get some extra practice with you. I'm also in that place of resorting to button mashing after a few successful hits. I'm in no way a veteran fighting game player, so you shouldn't have too much trouble beating me.

Hey all, just looking for some other fresh faces out there to throw down with, seems about time I get out of bots and into the true meat of this thing. Currently, I'm just a shitmode betaboy with like two combos. I've never really been into games but I'm very interested in getting good at this one, so anyone willing to jerk around a bit whenever they're free would be sick. I'm usually up from 1 pm to 3 am, prime fightin hours. I'm in florida, so whatever zone that is is me.
Steam profile is http://steamcommunity.com/id/scabzone/
Hit me up if you're down to clown, I'm looking to boost my P-Soul strats to maximum, maybe look into some Fukua cheapness later on.

I guess I should introduce myself if I'm gonna start adding people. Skullgirls is my first fighting game (that I'm taking seriously, anyway. I played Soul Calibur and some Naruto games casually when I was a kid), and I'm interested in getting better. I've been doing the quick matches recently and I feel like I've been learning a lot from better players, but since I can only fight them once I can't apply what I've learned, and then I go against someone with a completely different play style. I'd like to play against the same person multiple times so that I can practice adapting to them. I also, feel like I can be a bit predictable, so going against someone repeatedly will hopefully teach me to mix things up.

ON, Canada, EST. I normally play in the evenings, between 7 and 10 p.m.

I can't hold my own in public matches, but if you're the same way, I could totally help you out. Sometimes I even choose random character when I'm training with my friends, so I'm not restricted to just one play style. Here's my steam:

So I play with my friend who is like ridiculously good at this game. He pretty much bullies me hardcore and never get tired of bodying me. So i'm gonna need to training to start delivering Ls to him. I got a discord with other fighting game players if you wanna come through. If im not added tweet at me when you want to play. @ItsYaBoiYung
