I'm going to try to go but i'm going for 3s mostly.

Still on the fence, i'll see once I get closer to it I guess.

If people show enough interest for NEC i'll run the bracket again.

just saw king of prussia is where its held at....Fuck no.

wtf didn't everyone complain about the venue before why is it there again

wtf didn't everyone complain about the venue before why is it there again

The problem last time was due to another event being held the same weekend, causing us not to get the space we were promised.
This is not happening this year, and we are getting a MUCH larger space

main issue for me with last years venue was no food within walking distance unless u got venue food (overpriced as hell for convenience of course), I hadn't been to any previous NECs but if they were at last year's summer jam venue then that place was good, 2 diners across the street

The ghost hallway is the new venue.

Still not a good venue, space wasn't the issue. Oh well

I'll go if people are going maybe

I'm not particularly fond of the venue either because of the limited food options and how pricy it is to go from and to the airport compared to the old venue but it's one of the biggest anime tournaments so I'm going (at least this year for BBCF). And if I'm already going, I'm definitely entering Skullgirls so I'll see whoever's going there! ^,^

The venue was ok, we just need to plan where people meet up for food, hanging out, etc and WHEN which is a big issue.

When you have a giant venue and every action takes time, you need to plan ahead

Just realized the date for this is pretty bad for me. I have finals the week right after. RIP.

I'd like to go to this and I'll put in for the time off request. This shouldn't be too expensive even if I crash at a hotel for a just a single night since this is pretty local for me. If I get the time off request, I'll sign up.

E is considering dropping a few games, will keep the thread updated.
If we have to do our own side tournament, so be it.

EDIT: Skullgirls is not on the pre-registration list, but its still listed on the "Main Tournament Game" list, will keep people updated

EDIT 2:

Seems as though we are an "At the door" game

So has Big E said yet whether SG is in or not? Don't want to sign up for just a maybe here, I gotta know what's going on.

i didn't get anything straight from big E but i heard from kenin that after summer jam big e said he was removing sg from all future events because of "uneven attendance" and we are no longer on the main game list so i think it's safe to say any sg at nec will be unofficial side tournament (if anyone decides to run one)

Funny thing is, we're still on the main game list on facebook.
We're just at "register at the door" status
