That's really good since they either killed off or bullshitted away the other potentially interesting characters!

Like all of the organization (oh fuck, a group of shady adults with tons of differing motivation and faults barely clinging together onto the scrap of humanity they have left in a sham of a group being kept together by a few who know the whole story while using the rest? NAH, LETS NOT CONTINUE AND PERSIST WITH THAT)

Not like Roxas was twice as interesting as Sora or anything.

Wouldn't be cool if Terra got his bodyjacked and had to assist from the sidelines as weak but knowledgeable shadow? Nah that takes effort.

Axel, one of the most uninteresting of the cast sticks around, while the others go away..........Great, guess I'm relying on Aqua and the music to not put me to sleep.

General frustration with the writing of the series, I guess it could never be too good, but Castle Oblivion was a high point in the series, introducing a ton of fun, interesting and flawed characters to be killed off in the same game is only good when the rest of your story can replace them, and this story probably can't.

Doing something like killing off the 13 should be done at the climax of the series, and you could argue that 2 is the climax, but it doesn't feel like one with all these different crazy side stories coming out every other year.

Make 3D the cutscene only training montage, and Back Cover X a full game, why did 358/2 come out after 2? Just a bunch of weird decisions the writers probably weren't in full control of.

Now if this was NIER's story and it dropped the ball, I would be salty.

We already saw the fleshed out ones in CoM.

I can't care for these characters if I hang out with them after I kill them.......I mean, it CAN work, but you have to be a better writer than what these guys are, and that works best when you know NOTHING about the characters and then get a flesh out, not know a fair bit then kill them then play ANOTHER game about them.

CoH and 358/2 come out back to back, we get to 2 so we care about Roxas, after that BBS gives us a nice respite before 3.

Bam, no problems, if you really need 3D to be a game put it after BBS.

A franchise with, what? 5/6 mainline games shouldn't have 2 of them be a prequel, or you do what Hideo did and finish the story, put out another spin off set in the future, then go back all the way to the beginning, even before your earlier beginning.

If 3 happened and then we got bbs or 358/2, that would have been fine as well.

Holy shit, so I found a gem of a video.
A few years ago, someone made a video compilation of every time the word "Darkness" was said in Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. It was 2 minutes long.
So now someone made one encompassing THE ENTIRE KINGDOM HEARTS FRANCHISE
There's also a counter so you can see how many times the word "darkness" is uttered.
The number might surprise you

In order to prepare myself for 3, I've been travelling all over time with 1.5 and 2.5 playthroughs. Currently on Chain of Memories, a game I never played before. Just got passed Larxene (GAH STOP LIGHTNING SPAMMING YOU SADISTIC CU-) And noticed something. That Yellow charm Larxene planted on him...it's similar to Kairi's, but also looks almost like the one Aqua had in her trailer. Is this explained in later games? (No spoilers, I have yet to play BBS and am really looking forward to it)

It's revealed during COM about the charm.
 
It really says something when you can beat KH1 FM without too much difficulty, but CoM on standard is the one that tries your patience.
 
CoM is a mobile "port/update" . If it transfered without issues it would be a miracle


GBA version is still the best though
 
I forgot to mention I beat KH:FM on Proud mode. But never have I got stun locked 3 times in a row while Riku had his way with me like in CoM. Which is a shame, since CoM's system is...interesting, but some bosses are kind of just "RUN AWAY" bosses until they get stopped by something.
 
I had beaten Kingdom Hearts 1 on the HD collection recently and watched through 358/2 days.

Didn't want to subject myself to the card torture of Chain of Memories as I just couldn't get past the boss fight against Vexen without running out of cards.

Also I tried explaining how the HD collections are collected together to a friend who doesn't play a lot of games outside the main Pokemon franchise and Fifa. It's pretty amusing to see him trying to work out why they have such weird names haha

Kingdom Hearts III News

Square Enix has shared a sneak peek at new Drive Forms available to Sora in Kingdom Hearts III called the “Guard Form” and “Power Form.”

The shield used by Sora in Guard Form was transformed from the Keyblade of Hercules’ shield, which has been previously shown.

According to Square Enix, this Power Form screenshot was edited as it is the Keyblade from a world that hasn’t been announced yet, so it has been changed into a hammer shape.
