Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

Can I voice a rock

(Slightly rambly, but I need help)

Now that I have Christmas money, I'm hoping to finally upgrade my tier, but I don't know if I want the $60 tier or the $75 tier. Maybe I should wait until my birthday (January) to decide? Or maybe I could ask if there's something I could swap out in one of the tiers. And I'm also considering getting the 2nd Encore update on Steam, especially if I plan on getting a physical version and don't manage to find someone selling it.

Actually, are there any more Limited Run editions of 2nd Encore being sold? I heard there'd be some copies left over for post-preorder sale, but I don't know if that happened already or not. If I can get that, I can settle on the digital tier.

If we get the stretch goal for voice acting, will there be an option to turn it off?

That's probably one of those thing they wouldn't think about without it being explicitly suggested.

Other than just lowering character voices volume as a separate slider.

Add-ons on BackerKit only apply to items in the tier you bought, so you won't be able to get the $60 tier and like, swap-out the extra game for the Digital Compendium or something. If you've already got $75 to spare, I'd really try to save up a tad more and just get the $100 tier. That way you could just get everything.

But if you can't do that, and the LE Physical Release is a priority for you, then you should probably stick with the $60 tier. We know for sure the LE Physical is going away with the IGG, so you don't want to miss it.

We probably won't know until LRG has started printing them, and they probably won't have that many. You'll have to stay glued to their Twitter, because it's possible they might announce it one day at the start of the year and then be sold out in a couple hours.

The LE SG was Preorder only, so if you missed it, it's too late.
They've already stated there *might* be a few copies available for purchase after orders are done but that there's no set date for em yet.

I'm guessing there's no chance of seeing some Skullgirls digital content in the Indivisible digitals? (Sorry I just -really- like Beowulf and I wasn't around when Skullgirls was doing its thing)

Doubt it, but you can buy the standalone Digital Art Compendium from Skullgirls.com for $25.

This pleases me.

PC physical edition is confirmed to be DRM-free.
Mike said this multiple times during the campaign. Was it just not actually cleared before now?

Hey guys quick backer-kit question. Are we at the point where we should email them if we haven't got a backer-kit yet or are they still coming out slowly?

Yeah, it wasn't confirmed with the publisher before, but now it is. That's good news, since guys like me are getting both for PC, so it'll make the physical disc feel less redundant along with the Steam Key.

Everyone should have their surveys now. You can go to the BackerKit Site and have it resent. Make sure that you still have access to the e-mail account that you made the pledge with.

Also, don't forget to use the Tip Jar even if you don't upgrade. Every little bit counts!

Proof

*groan* I hate neogaf. No offense to ravi but I don't get why they get more responses than us.

For anybody that hasn't been watching the IGG page like a hawk, the Backerkit donations got updated. Nearly there to 20k away from full VO

Actually, with what was added in the meantime on IGG alone, we're already below 20k needed.

Beast Cannon confirmed.

...Is that the in-universe inspiration Samson had for Fenrir Drive?

And Juggernaut?

Is the writing on the golem jewish? I recall a jewish legend or something about golems used to work or kill people(?) by putting a piece of paper with a name on it in their mouths or something.

the golem was made for work and the writing in it's mouth is Hebrew for "Truth" or something along those lines. and rewriting the word to "Death" would make the golem fall asleep.

During the Middle Ages, passages from the Sefer Yetzirah (Book of Creation) were studied as a means to create and animate a golem, although there is little in the writings of Jewish mysticism that supports this belief. It was believed that golems could be activated by an ecstatic experience induced by the ritualistic use of various letters of the Hebrew Alphabet forming a "shem" (any one of the Names of God), wherein the shem was written on a piece of paper and inserted in the mouth or in the forehead of the golem

Rabbi Jacob Emden (d. 1776) elaborated on the story in a book published in 1748: "As an aside, I'll mention here what I heard from my father's holy mouth regarding the Golem created by his ancestor, the Gaon R. Eliyahu Ba'al Shem of blessed memory. When the Gaon saw that the Golem was growing larger and larger, he feared that the Golem would destroy the universe. He then removed the Holy Name that was embedded on his forehead, thus causing him to disintegrate and return to dust. Nonetheless, while he was engaged in extracting the Holy Name from him, the Golem injured him, scarring him on the face.

@ArgonBern For a more in depth explanation.

Golems are my favorite monsters, which means once you defeat the golem in battle a letter might erase from it's head and deactivate like Q or just crumble to dust.

While we're getting into lore I'd like to mention that I find the shape of that sand worm highly symbolic. He's shaped like a pine cone, a longstanding symbol of enlightenment and the pineal gland, aka the Third Eye, aka the Ajna Chakra.

Very pleased with the update.

What would be neat is if the Golem death animation had the Aleph fade away, which IIRC is the thing that changes "Truth" to "Death". After the fade, I would think the Golem flopping over face-first would be the most satisfying, but I guess it could crumble or get frozen in place and that would also work.

Bonus cool research points if the characters change to the Hebrew words for any current status effects.

Mostly, I like how jolly these golems look. Big guy just wants a hug.

I have a feeling Sangmu will have a big advantage over the golems.

That sandworm looks sort of like a certain pinecone-shaped world-devouring alien creature from a different RPG.

so... basically it's the wolves that Beowulf trained with as a teenager.

got it.

time to draw Beo with this cute pupper.

Well, yeah. Maybe we're considered "active" fans who can dig out all information themselves? I don't know.
On the one hand I would like somebody to engage with us regularly. On the other hand we will probably pester said person to no end. Considering L0's very limited human resources I'm not sure they have people to spare.

I just figured Ravi takes to Neogaf and Mike Z take to Twitter because that's their preferred social media stomping grounds. If that's where they are anyway, that's where they'll be.
