Heroes of the Storm

Update: Blizzard has caved to fan demands and updated the Veteran Loot Box program
Now , for every hundred levels (WITH THE RETROACTIVE BOXES, this is the only time you get them) you get a VETERAN BOX, which has FIVE items, one of which is a GUARANTEED Legendary.
And yes, you can still reroll these.

Fuckin' sick.

I hope we get more overwatch heroes, every one of them so far has translated soooo well into hots

Only Tracer has had the Ult Build Up, hope other ones have that, but Zarya and Lucio having them on traditional cooldown makes since since they're very powerful

So.

Genji and Hanamura are in the game.

I can't wait for Genji to never push the payload.

both genji and the map look lovely

Both Auriel and Zarya get new skins, both are Overwatch inspired
Sakura Auriel (Looks like a mix between Sakuya in Okami and an Omnic)
Cyberdemon Zarya (Oni Genji but Zarya)

Jokes aside, map looks really fun, gives me high hopes for the future Warcraft map, whenever that is, will probably get Genji when he comes out (assuming I don't get Godly luck and get him in one of my many Loot Boxes)

So, why IS Hanamura a Payload map in this game?

It isn't one in Overwatch.

Different area of Hanamura, presumably, notice how neither the Arcade nor the central chamber (to my knowledge) is there.
Plus, Hanamura has the strongest aesthetic out of all Overwatch maps, it makes sense, and Payloads are one of biggest parts of OW's identity (plus memes)
So take the two, mash em together

Update: We're getting a Launch Stream on Tuesday, it will show off the brand new Cinematic, which is confirmed to show the next hero after Genji, we don't know who it could be, but the French Heroes site has removed the "Heroine" part people were using as evidence half-heartedly.
Probably Kel'Thuzad

Sigh.
Next character is D.va
Way to play it fucking safe.
Zzzzzz

The claw marks were just Diablo.
Misleading.
Man.

The troll game was STRONG.

Played 3 games with @Dunk as Cho'Gall, they were all hot garbage (neither of our fault though) but they were still fun.
That's Cho though, fun but you're probably gonna lose.
His new Passive is way more confusing than it should be.

So, I played as Lucio for the first time today.

I won all 4 matches.

He seems really good. His "reverse song" is particularly great.

Man though, a thing I noticed, they've been giving Gold Out like Candy now, if you hadn't gotten the complete roster of heroes by now, you'll prob get it by the end of the month if you got a stimpack booster.
I get the feeling they might end up adding some more Gold Sink options, at this rate.

What other ways can you get gold, outside of level ups's?

Daily quests.
cap of 3 after 3 days.
You're pratically guaranteed at least 600 (at worst) to 1700 gold at best.
Oh.

I thought that there was some third way of getting gold.

Thanks anyways!

I'm convinced Cho'Gall is a giant lightning rod come the mid to late game. It is fun to play, but once the enemy team is strong enough for ultimate abilities it does get tough.

We'll get better, eventually. Colossus Smash and Zul'jin is just poison to us.

Anyway, because of the new loot box + gold system it's very likely everyone will get every hero in the game.
I'm kinda putting off Artanis for when I buy Starcraft 2 complete, but oh well, if I get him in a box that's cool.

Yeah, Zul'Jin has great sustain.

There is that I forgot
Every 5 level ups on a hero you get 500 gold.
No, you mentioned level ups.

Anyways, ever since I started playing Lucio, I haven't lost.

Is he really THAT strong?

I just got to level 100.

Aaaaaaaaaand I got a skin for Li-Ming, a character who I really want, but don't own.

Maybe God's trying to tell me something.

Got Artanis in a Rare Loot Box.
I was gonna get him for free with Starcraft 2 Complete Edition, but eh, guess I get him Early now.
Downside is this delays the purchase of Starcraft 2 for a lil' while
That ain't a downside.

This just means that now you'll have more time to play HOTS.

I'm honestly pleasantly surprisde they made Call Mech/Self Destruct her E, leaving room for 2 brand new ultimates, and marrying Overwatches gradual build ability/ult + Heroes cooldown Ult
Hope we see more creative mixes like that for future OW Heroes.

I like how her abilities are all overall smaller than in OW but that makes them feel like a tighter kit for it.

If anyone wants to help me with the last leg of the quest, I'll be on tomorrow and the whole weekend.
Once I get this new PSU Installed I should be good to play for even longer periods of time.

SO, uh.

Weird little fact.

I own every Support in the game.

I dunno what that says about me, or the scarce number of supports in the game, or whatever, but man, that's weird.

I also purchased Leoric. Anyone got any tips on how to play him? Drain hope seems really good.

Drain Hope does percentage-based damage, so it's useful on other tanks.

That's good advice.

Thanks!
