So over the last few days this game has been having a bit of a buzz . a 2D fighting game that features Gods, Spirits, Monsters, etc from myths and religions across the world. The thing that seperates this game from the rest is because they are indie, they can have the balls to include JESUS CHRIST as a fighter without huge backlash. The game looks a bit....rough at times, but its clear that there's some effort and love behind it

If that's all it really has going to separate it from the others, then I think it's not going to have much more buzz. Remember, even though you get to play as Jesus in a fighter, he has already appeared in South Park as a summon, so there isn't much shock value IMO. If it goes through improvement for a year or has different media that ties into this game, then I could see it being something really notable.
Trailer doesn't give me much hope though, unless this is a really early alpha.

Edit:oh wait, it's already been released as an early access game. That doesn't really give me much hope that it will improve a lot. It doesn't even have online currently.

As far as a super serious FC quality fighter, I honestly have no clue if they plan on supporting it that far. It stood out to me because its defenitely not a cheap cash grab, but is obviously a bit below the standard polish of a good fighter. I mainly like it because im a sucker for "Battle of the GODS" type of games, like Smite for instance.

Time will tell if this actually picks up and becomes a scene.

Oh there was backlash alright. Did you miss the whole kerfuffle about Steam getting banned from Malaysia because of this game?

Anyway, here's a pretty rad combo video. Game actually looks pretty sick. All the right kinds of broken you'd want out of a meme game.
I'm just hoping we get a Linux build soon, it's in Unity so pls gib port

Oh geez, ALL of Steam? I thought it was only the game, but they banned the entire service? Yikes, makes you wonder how it didnt get banned sooner with all the Binding of Issac and such games available.
 
Unless the infinites are banned or like patched out the game won't have a competitive scene.

It'll be like any other game that doesnt have online and just rots like Yatagarasu or Chaos Code did when the original came to console.

It's a bummer cuz this game sorta looks funky and fun.

The combined wihes of the masses for capitalism and good cheer have taken form. This is probably the 3rd most badass santa I've seen
