Them's Fightin' Herds

Started playing with Paprika, a lot of fun but I want to try Tianhuo as a main. The pixel lobby is very fun, it combines online multiplayer with a light arcade mode element. I have been hopping between the salt mines and online fights a lot.

Going with Velvet for now. I felt she was a bit underrepresented online (For most of the Beta, she was downright vapid. Then in the final days of the beta, they made 3 changes to her that made her interesting enough that I really wanted to main her), so I wanted to join the Reindeer Army. There's a kind of fun to using your zoning tools to shepherd your opponents into killzones for big damage.

I'm not great at it, but it's fun nonetheless.

I'm liking paprika right now. Gota stay with the charge characters. plus she has a short hop that almost feels like a smash brothers mechanic and i like it alot. The Emperor's new groove skin is legit too.

Interesting in that it's been released. I don't have Steam, but hope it does well.
Nice art/animation. Seems some sort of collaboration happened as well.
I should check in here more often (it's a while!).

Caio, are you on discord? I'd love to steal that combo file from you.

Also, it just dawned on me that you can finally play as your avatar in a game...

...Suddenly I have to use the keyboard to get into anything. The controller can select things on the first menu, but no matter which button it won't confirm on the second menus.

I played this game just yesterday to see finished animations and I think it worked fine.

Edit: Aaaaand controller moves both characters in Training Mode at the same time.

What controller do you use and does it have a PS3 mode by any chance? Happens to me too if I have my Madcatz TE2 on PS4 mode. Been kind of wanting the devs to deal with this for a while

Standard hitbox, so no auxiliary stuff at all.

Have you tried going into Documents>My Games>Them's Fightin' Herds and delete your config file? Should reset your configs in case something went really off the rails?

This game looks so cool!! I already have 16 hours on it and idk i still have to find my main (even tho oleander is great i wish some elements of her were kinda different)
but i have like 1 wish for this game

Hooray for Velvet army.

Hi all, so I was notified today that Combo Breaker will set aside time and space for a TFH side tournament. I will be running said side tournament. I will update as soon as an official time has been locked in by the Combo Breaker organizers, and when I have any additional information to share.

A couple of things:

- We will be given 2.5 hours to run the tournament.
- Double elimination, 2/3 games until winners finals/losers finals/grand finals.
- The tournament will be located in the BYOC Area.
- I can bring 2 setups, which will give us a cap of 16 people.
- If we can get 2 additional setups, we can increase the cap to 24 people. If we can get 4 additional setups, we can increase the cap to 32 people. 32 people will be our max limit if we get there. If you can help out with additional setups, please let me know! (Post here or hit me up via PM).

I'll need to see if they'll support a stream, but what I'll try to do is record at least the top 4, hopefully top 8 and upload the matches to Youtube.

Hi everyone, I am pleased to formally announce more details on the official TFH Side Tournament at Combo Breaker!

We have space set aside in the BYOC Area, Friday, May 25th, 2:00 PM.

Sign up online at Challonge: https://challonge.com/tournaments/signup/YfRW6pKKUm

Please only sign up if you are already registered for Combo Breaker (Minimum: Spectator Fee) and are prepared to pay a $5 entry fee on site (cash, please)! If you are unable to check in/pay the fee by 10 minutes prior to the start of the tournament, your spot will be taken by people on the waiting list (first-come, first-serve). Please provide your own controller!

On-site registration ends 10 minutes prior to tournament start. Brackets WILL be randomized prior to the start of the tournament!

Most recent version of the game will be played.

Payouts:

1st - 60% prize pool
2nd - 30% prize pool
3rd - 10% prize pool

NOTE: Wired controllers only. Also, if you plan to use unusual controllers - Guitar Hero, musical keyboards, DDR Pads, Dakimakuras - please let me know in advance, and if there are any unusual drivers I would need to run those. Because these might legitimately not work.

EDIT: Thanks to the generosity of the community, we have enough setups to increase our player cap to 24 people! Additionally, FF|Songhacker and I will provide a combined $200 pot bonus for the tournament.

EDIT: Top 3-4 of the tournament (time depending) will be recorded and broadcast on TeamSp00ky after Combo Breaker.

If anyone has any questions or concerns, please post on this thread, tweet me @erkicman, or contact me on Discord Erkicman#9535.

Edited previous post, but I wanted to announce 2 new things:

1) We now have enough setups to increase our player cap to 24 people! Thank you to everyone who helped out - Lizardman301, FF|Songhacker, and PAG.BlackAtlus!

2) FF|Songhacker and I will provide a combined $200 pot bonus to this tournament!

Okay, edited the original post again, but for people asking about streams/recordings earlier: Top 3 - 4 of TFH at Combo Breaker will be recorded and broadcast on TeamSp00ky on a later date.
