Did they mention somewhere that the incarnations that get cut from party would they appear in the game in a different role?
 
IIRC Ravi said every Incarnation revealed during the campaign would be featured in the game in some form.

I don't think I ever said that? Haha.

We're trying to find places to use any that didn't make the cut, but no guarantees.

But that was over a year before main production started and Mike isn't the most careful PR guy, so I'd just take it as "we really would like to not cut anyone." Also he's not the one who has to figure out how the characters fit in the world. :P
 
I can't believe you guys decided to cut jacksfilms' fursona. That was the only reason I was looking forward to this game. I want my money back.

Really hoping that backer preview update is near, the Twitter said "finishing touches" a month ago. I know that they wanted feedback on the changes and if the game is still slated for fall I'd imagine it'd be better to have that feedback sooner than later.
While I fully understand the desire to push the backer build to all backers, but I imagine the amount of time/work it takes to get a build running without issues on every build at once is a lot more intense, let alone having to deal with certification.
I wonder if we're going to see some more streams any time soon or if we're just in full spoiler territory.

We’re aiming to submit it for certification in the next week or so. If all goes well, we hope to have it out in… two weeks.

That's a pretty sweet update. We got a peek at the Cihuateteo animations earlier, but it's nice to see some more of those enemies up close. So far I'm really happy with how the Backer enemies are turning out too, including Baz.

Now they just have to make sure that Preview Update is out this month. This is a good time to get some more eyes on the game before people get wound up with E3.
 
E3? Oh yeah, this is a while down the line but I hope they show up for PAX West. Didn't hear anything about that in 2017, but I think a lot of people are more interested in PAX than E3.

If they can get a spot on the PC Gaming conference or something that would be great, but without mainstage PAX is more worth the time.

Seems like we're getting into the Backers' enemies. Pretty cool, pretty cool. Can't wait to try the new characters and hopefully see a Toko reveal in the future.

For Backer NPCs, my thought is that we'd maybe put a gallery online around launch so people could keep an eye out for them?

But there really isn't a particular reason to highlight them before release.

Is there a good estimate to when backer npc's will be contacted to assist with the writing of their characters?

Also is the possibility of different dialogue for npcs depending on the party member in your group still in the air or is that just something to basically not expect? It's just something I'd like to know planning for my character's dialogue and it's been awhile since it was last acknowledged :O

We'll reach out for NPC dialog shortly after Anime Expo. Between Backer Preview Update, E3 and AX, we're pretty swamped.

As for conditional dialog based on party members, we're not going to be able to do this. Not only would it require new tech, but it also requires additional QA testing.

There will also be a character limit, BTW. We haven't nailed that down yet, but you will likely be limited to one dialog window pre-localization.

That's because the game was planned for start of 2018 at first but it got moved to autumn 2018.

It's been "fall 2018" for some time, and honestly I'd rather it be later if it means they get done what they want to get done regardless of how much I want to play it.

Yes, but it can strech their finanses, which were already planned for 2 years of development.

Though I'm expecting anything major only after Indivisible production is finished. Including the post-premiere DLC stuff, like guest characters.

It's pretty decent. Nothing ground breaking but itdoes a pretty smashing job at imitating the real thing
