Blazblue

wait, what?
New title screen is green, so peeps have been calling it blazgreen now

Is it an update or do we gotta buy it like Rev2?

Also Blazgreen has been a "totally original" joke for people to go "haha, weed lol" because of the "Blaz" in the title.

Free patch.

Jubei for 8$.

Wow Blazblue is following GGs footsteps in going green.

I'd pay for em. i would love to hear the VA for Ragna do more of his "Afraid of ghosts" stuff. The entire English cast deserves to close the game series out. They put so many hours into the other 3 and brought these chars to life, gave them soul, and made every emotional line (be it fear, sadness, anger) sound on point and alive.

And if I hear japanese Jin say "nii-san" like a whiney little school girl one more time, I'ma stab someone..

Can I just say I HATE playing against Mai. It might just be that my friend is better than me, but whenever I play against his Mai I get salty as hell and lose super hard. I play Nine, Bang, and Celica and he just wrecks my shit with her. He also plays a lot of Tager but I've been able to get around Tager after many games, same can't be said of his Mai. Anyone know good ways to play that matchup with her? I know Mai isn't considered Top tier so I think it might just be skill differences/me being bad at the matchup.

Whenever I fight Mai I just pounce on her, going aggro against her is good because of her lack of meterless reversal and her fastest buttons suck and she doesnt get much off of them. When she has meter safe jumping her into doing reckless super and getting a big punish on her and stuff.

That's fairly universal stuff but thats how I take her down.

I told my BF about my recent post about Jin and "nii-san". After we left the restaurant from lunch, he points at his car and, in the very same Japanese Jin voice (as I showed him it) yells "NIII-SAN!" (his car's a nissan). I promptly stabbed him with my defense kunai.

BlazBlue patch is out my guys. The cat is unleashed.

Jubei's theme is mocking us
now we'll never know the name of his Stand

...He lives???

At this point he's gonna be Geese, he should be long dead but there he is appearing in every game 'cuz everyone loves him.

I don't love him. :c

Because Daisuke is doing all the non remix themes since CP.

I thought he did Calamity Trigger too. But I don't know.

At last THE CAT is kicking ass finally!!! :D

Also I read somewhere that Jubei's Arcade mode isn't patched in. So at the moment, nothing's there. He's also missing his select artwork in the Gallery and the game will crash when you get to Nine.

err....I just finished his arcade mode...he only has an arcade mode for the last section of the 3, given all 3 sections are full arcade mode runs with different story sections for each char, but Jubei doesn't get involved as an actual fighter until the 3rd bit. Are we talking PC? Cause PS4 all that's fine aside from the gallery issue.

Yeah that bug with Arcade and other stuff was on PC, but I believe they patched it already.

Yeah. I could've sworn I wrote down it was on the Steam version of Central Fiction. lol

So this interview with Mori had a bunch of info. An introspective on the theory thus far, what he would like to add or what he had to cut, and plans for future installments.

And because the site still hates tumblr I put a space in the link above. But here are some points I thought were really noteworthy

  • The Azure is a mysterious Macguffin of sorts where if we truly knew exactly wht it was, the entire Blazblue series would end.
  • Nu and Lambda were not supposed to come back, but since this is a fighting game (and mori dislikes the GG way of having dead characters playable just cause), he had to go through hoops to let them return.
  • A lot of story content was cut. Relius and Sector Seven were going to get a lot more focus, but in the end this is RAGNA'S story in the "C series", so they got axed. otherwise, the volume of the story would have doubled.
  • Terumi is indeed based off a bit from the Dark Knight's Joker
  • Linhau is more powerful than she appears, and Mori regrets not being able to make her playable (yet). she's strong enough to send opponents flying, even!
  • Mori loves including important information in spinoffs (who woulda thunk?) and implies there may be some important canon info in cross tag battle (oh GOD DA-)
  • the mobile game, Blazblue Alternative: Dark War will flesh out characters more it didnt get a chance to in the main games, like Hazama, Bullet, Hibiki, and Platnium
  • A bunch of mysteries, such as the creation of the Duodecim, what exactly Sector 7 is, Mori wsih to disclose properly someday

I was literally going to originally post "the Azure is basically Kingdom Hearts, where if we find out what it is the franchise ends."

coulda used a url bbc:

would end up like this:
Interview with Mori

While I'm sure the English dub would actually provide a decent incentive to buy this version - or get some people back in to other versions if they're also added in - I just have this feeling it's a straight port. I'd love to be wrong though.

Still, I might pick up this version of the game.

I'm guessing this version has all DLC, anything new at this point is unlikely.

This is way late for a reply, but I don't necessarily think it should matter if a character is "alive" to determine if they are playable in a game. Especially if it's built on the same engine and porting a character won't cause any budgetary concerns from one version to the next. It's why I like Kliff sticking around in GG and getting re balanced so he's actually tourney legal and stuff. Now if I was under the impression that Daisuke didn't want to expend the resources to put Kliff back in Xrd, that would be a different story entirely, but he does want everyone back including spectral Kliff and I assume some variant of Justice/Aria.

I usually gloss over BB's story modes but having to continually contrive ways for characters to stick around to justify their spot on the roster sounds like more pain that it's worth.

Whelp, Mori's hinting at a new BlazBlue game again. Maybe we'll get something at Arc Revo this week? (Though TBH that'll probably be the CTB reveal.)

It's still wild to me that CT is 10 years old. I feel old. lmao
I still haven't played CF so I'm interested to see where it goes with no Ragna apparently.
(Insert dub comment here)

Maybe whoever the new protagonist is can catch a fucking break for once

According to a recent interview, a dub would be in the ballpark of around 250k, and blazbluw games never did so amazingly enough to justify the cost apparently. It's been almost 3 years, I think it's time to let go
