Okay, do we have a thread like this? One that details the cast's strengths and weaknesses in play, I feel like this would be a useful resource for people who are trying to pick a character to get started with or another to pick up, hell this could even just be a general guide on what people need to work on when fighting other characters.

However though, I'm not gonna put everything willy-nilly on the sections, I need some actual proof of concept and a majority agreement that a character is strong/weak with this particular thing.

Bella: Strong close range game, strong damage, strong reversal and AA choices (Devil Horn, US, Diamond Dynamo); weak vs zoning, has a general problem with keeping characters pinned down due to a lack of strong multi-hit normal attacks, lackluster normal grabs.

Peacock: Best zoning in the game, ability to flood the screen with mini assists (SOID, Georges) for cover and move in behind them, safe pressure strings with the Georges, good mobility with the only teleport in the game, strong 50/50 cross-up mix-ups after air combos (end with Avery, cross-under/grab), or ground throws (double George into 50/50 teleport OR L George into jumping 50/50 cross-up); weak reversals, poor range on her normals, very weak without meter or an assist.

PW: great pressure, a strong set of multi-hit normals and fly cancelling make her hard to push away, strong throw game, high damage output, armour gets around things that other characters would have issues with (grounded armour to get past zoning patterns), good range on j.mp with the ability to fly cancel into combos or pressure, good range on her c.lk; weak reversals, HG is slow to start-up and a gamble to use on defense, best normals are slow to start-up and have no armour window.

That's it.

Is "Strong Mixup/Reset Game" really something you can honestly say is an advantage? Everybody in this game has great mixups and resets except Peacock (her's are only 'ok').

Why is Eliza there but Beowulf and Robo-Fortune aren't?

Just so this post isn't just me bitching, I feel that Cerebella is a weak air combatant. Not really much she can do when she's in the air. I guess that's why she has so much armor when she's grounded.
Don't take it from me though, I don't know anything about fighting game mechanics.

I'll take the blind guess that you have never played a good Peacock

Not saying she' can't do mixups but since her lows are very limited, her ground throw doesn't lead into anything other then a super and her left/right mixups with teleports only really work when she sets them up from a distance or uses assists... I'm about 100x more scared of any other character up-close pressuring me then Peacock.

I agree that Peacock's low game is limited, but I disagree on nearly everything else. She has great crossups, great overheads, great pressure against wakeup. When he throws don't lead into big damage, they lead into crossup vortexes, of which she has multiple, without or without assists. j.HP, j.MK, j.HK and Georges/assist are incredibly good.

Having just gotten blown up by a solo rushdown peacock (in lag though) I gotta say that the bitch has some tricks up her sleeves when a good player plays her. I think the guy I played was jb king or something like that. Whatever, dude was super good.

Because I'm a biased fuck and Big and and Eliza are pretty on the horizon.

Her lack of a solid low doesn't matter, she has some of the best cross-up mix-ups in the game. If you play one who knows how to do the full set of after-throw cross-ups (not just using teleport) and also the 50/50 after j.hk with the option to air grab into another combo, you'll understand.

Also, she can cover herself with some form of an item while she does all of this, so the opponent has to deal with it. Then when you factor in what she can do with her teleport while having an assist in your face...yeah, her mix-up potential is really good. She definitely has better mix-ups than Bella.

Double:
Best mix-ups in the game, safe DHC, confirm into super from range, good reversal super, one of the best assists in the game, some of the easiest resets in the game; Needs assist for full potential in mix-ups, needs assist or meter to close the gap during the neutral game, weak to zoning.

Her Ground throw allows you to charge a M. SOID to about a level 2 as the character is sent across the screen recovering, allowing you to hit and get a BANG BANG BANG into Argus or after the throw, you can send L. George and teleport for a cross up when timed right. so although Peacock's low is limited, it's not too bad.

I agree on everything here except weak to zoning, I think she does fine in there between patience, double jumping, her own projectile, and swag wagon.

Also double has gdlk air footsie

Cerebella has a double jump and her absolutely ludicrious j.MP, so she's not boned in the air when it comes to movement & space control. She doesn't really have too much of an ability to convert off of anything from a distance in the air without assists, but since you're going to have assists you can convert with basically whatever you can convert with, like Updo.

Also I don't use assists, I solo most of the time.
