Do you want to brag to your friends that you're one of the elite few who plays Skullgirls, but don't want to waste all that time talking when you could be playing the game? It sounds like you need some Skullgirls merchandise in your life. It just so happens that there's been some new developments in the exciting world of Skullgirls merchandising covering everything from t-shirts to plush toys to PSN avatars and I'm here to give you the scoop.

Firstly, Eighty Sixed Clothing's long running weekly community designed t-shirt promotion has finally ended, and they're going out with a bang. Until the end of December the entirety of their weekly Skullgirls are available to buy. If you missed out on them before this is your absolute last chance to get them before they disappear forever. 86'd have also added a new Marie keychain to their collection if your keys don't feel quite heavy enough yet.

Sanshee are also keeping their heads in the game by unveiling their brand new Lil' Band plush. If that George has been getting lonely on your shelf you'll finally be able to give him some company in the coming weeks, or if you're heading to the Playstation Experience in Las Vegas, Lab Zero will have a limited supply of them on hand!

Finally, Lab Zero have rolled out their third set of Playstation Avatars for you to adorn your PSN profile with. This series are the long awaited Skullgals avatars designed by pixel artist extrordinaire Paul Robertson. You might remember his work from games like Scott Pilgrim vs the World or Mercenary Kings. Ravidrath also mentioned there's a fourth batch of avatars coming at the end of December.

You can find images below for all of these glorious shortcuts to proclaiming your allegiance to Skullgirls.

I'm not saying you should all buy Minette avatars to show your support but I haven't banned anyone in a while and you totally should.

That Li'l BB is too much. I'll take seven.

Ms. Fortune head plush when

I wanna keep it on my desk so if I get mad at writing essays I can launcher it into LP MP HK string

I want a Fortune.... Or maybe ill make my own if i get off my butt and go for fabrics this weekend >w>

I was confused when 86'd announced this "End of the weekly shirt" sale, but after this month are they not doing any more weekly shirts, or are they getting rid of anything that was ever a weekly shirt, or are they getting rid of every shirt? Cause I can't tell looking at the site which shirts are going out.

What I understand is "we offer all the weekly shirts for the last time.....the NEW shirts gonna be monthly not weekly.

All the t-shirts are being removed. We may have placed a bit too much emphasis on the last chance for the weeklies aspect, but it is everything.

All the other products are staying.
Thanks for the clarification! Seems weird to me to even remove the official-from-lab-zero shirts. Any reason why they're being removed, if you can say? And they said new products are going up, are they new shirts or something else?

Yes! Big Band Plushie! No matter how much I'll have to pay to ship this to Germany, it will be mine!

Everything is being removed so we can shift production to screen printing, which will result in much higher quality and durable prints.

So will some of the older designs get updated to the new printing technique? Especially the Alex Ahad ones.

No. The Evo tees by him were screen printed, but those aren't getting reprinted.

This is so good. Whatever technique you guys have been using really is just terrible.

I still don't fully understand why upgrading the shirt printing tech means you can't reuse old designs.

Oh, also, hey, is the Hoodie getting removed? It's not a shirt, but it's clothing.

Because not much of that artwork is designed with screen printing in mind (full color illustrations with absolutely no color separations) and to even attempt it can be very challenging and expensive. Moving forward focusing on new, finer tuned designs is for the better, TRUST ME.

Believe me, this is a step I have been eagerly awaiting, it opens up so many possibilities. Digital printing is what a lot of make your own store websites utilize, and while it does have it's advantages, they are a bit on the more delicate side compared to more conventional printing methods. If you picked up this years Evo design, that should give you an idea of the print quality everything will have.

Just so I understand, are fan-submitted SG clothing designs being a thing gone for good <assuming it doesn't come back at some point>, or is it just the "fan shirt every week" promo gone and there still be a way for super outstanding designs to be accepted?

If you were ever to do fan submitted things again, having them much less regularly would be nice. Might drum up more interest in the whole thing by turning them into events. I know I dragged my heels on submitting things since they were first announced because there was always next week.

Wouldn't be shocked if the whole thing was nixxed though.

I'm still taking potential submissions, but the new art requirements are stricter so I advise that you e-mail with say, a sketch first. The new process requires a much larger commitment on our part so by extension, I have to be much more picky. I do what I can to help people, but I do have to be careful sinking a lot of time helping someone with a design that just isn't shaping up like we would hope. Theres also other products like the phonecases, mousepads, etc, and the art requirements for those are less strict in terms of how it's created.

Okay, I'll trust you. But about the hoodie, is it leaving too?
I don't know what the current plan is for the Redux hoodie is off the top of my head, sorry.

Maybe at some point you guys can put out a simple guideline for creating a design with screen printing in mind. I probably don't have the time to make use of one for the foreseeable future but I'm sure a lot of designers are interested. Would make the process of planning and submitting a design much more streamlined for everyone involved.

It wouldn't really help, I absolutely do not want to receive "finished" designs from the get-go. I hate having to reject or ask for a ton of changes on finished designs, I feel awful about it.

If I am not sold on a design on the sketch/lineart phase, it's probably going to be rejected.
If I do like it, I try to make the process as simple for the artists as I can, even if it takes up some of my own time.

I wish the 360 didn't suck so much and actually got avatars as well.

Just ordered the Three Shirts I care about from the Skullgirls Line, sadly the only other one I would want was a 2013 EVO Exclusive that is not among the re-releases.

Still I am glad to be getting the ones I am. Mad Salt for the Win.
