AKA the crossover platform-fighting game where you can kick God of War's Kratos and the DmC reboot Dante's asses with Spike from Ape Escape, and where people remember who Sir Daniel Fortesque and Parappa the Rapper are.

As I said in Smash Bros, was a huge huge huge fan when it was first annouced, defended it all the way to it's launch day, and I still defended it until the day support got cut off.
I still think it's a good game and I appreciate it for what it is, but it could've been better.
I hope we get a sequel with a new mechanic, new developer, and new characters.
Also keep it as a Smash Bros clone.

Also, add the following (at least)
Joel & Ellie (The Last of Us)
Booker Dewitt & Elizabeth (Bioshock Infinite)
Delsin Rowe (Infamous Second Son)
Spyro & Crash
Kazama Kiryu (Yakuza)

add Troy Baker
not any character he's played
literally just Troy Baker

PSASBR is probably my favorite game
to make fan movesets for.

Cause it's not like Smash where you've got three sets of basic attacks, some specials that all have special properties, some throws and a Final Smash, PSASBR is a lot more free with it's moveset potential,
but also very structured at the same time.

You've got three sets of attacks and they can do anything that you want, but can also be grouped by thematic elements or properties or specific uses, and then you've got throws and three super attacks of ascending power.
I just really like the structure, and Sony has a much wider range of titles than Nintendo (though I generally like Nintendo's IP's more).

As for specific things I'd want out of a sequel:

Filia (Skullgirls)
The Pomeranian (Tokyo Jungle)
Makoto Naegi (Dangan Ronpa)
Chell (Portal)
The Traveler (Journey)
Zephyr (Resonance of Fate)
Wander (Shadow of the Colossus)
The Prince of All Cosmos (Katamari Damacy)
Linda Meilinda (DreadOut)
And of course Sony mascots like Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, any iteration of Lara Croft (though I haven't made movesets for any of them except Lara).
And also that guy from Chulip. And the girl from Stretch Panic. Just cause.
I mean they were PS2 exclusive.

With the rival battles being Crash vs. Spyro, Filia vs. Pomeranian, Chell vs. Traveler, Wander vs. Prince, Stretch Panic vs. Chulip.

I'd also want some more DmC stages, it seemed like the team was reluctant to add in any more DmC than they had to (for obvious reasons I guess), but the stages and music were the best part of that game.
Personally I envision a stage called Limbo, which starts in DmC's limbo, with all the floating platforms and stuff, and there's demons floating around everywhere, and the stage remains like that for a while, before Mariska from Lollipop Chainsaw flies in, paints all the houses with anti-war messages and flowers, turns the background into a trippy, psychadelic mess, and starts shooting hordes of exploding butterflies at the demons and players.
As well as a stage called Testing Facility, which starts in the Aperture Science Testing Facility with raised platforms and buttons and the occasional turret with GLaDoS in the bacground taunting the players similar to the Gargoyles from the Graveyard, but halfway through Bob Barbas from DmC comes in and the two get into a pissing contest for the rest of the match.
My only other real stage idea is called War Machine, it starts in that underground temple place from Journey, as one of the Guardians wakes up and flies off with the players on its back, it flies over the snow section of Journey for half the match before a train car crashes into its head, flinging the players off and onto the cliff from the beginning of Uncharted 2 as another train car teeters on the edge before falling. Armed goons start firing at the Guardians as the Guardians begin swooping down and picking the goons off. Maybe they'll fire a rocket onto the stage every now and again.
Though as I type this, I got the idea of there being a Tokyo Jungle stage at Shibuya Station as a Colossi (from SotC) wanders into the background and starts fighting off droves of lions and hippos and dinosaurs.

Other than that, I can't think of much else to say, I'd like the gameplay to veer a little more away from Smash, maybe focus on more environmental utilities rather than platforming? I dunno. I didn't have much a problem with the super system, but maybe something could be done to give more of an immediate consequence to getting hit.
Get rid of the Medusa Head, that was a seriously OP item, get rid of Zeus too, there was no real reason for him to be there.
The split between good Cole and evil Cole was also kind of odd, I feel like they could've made them one character with a stance system or something, they were similar enough as is.
And give Jak the knockdown on his side triangle back, that nerf seriously ruined the character for me.

I personally was thinking Cerebella for a SG rep, since her style as a grappler is severely unexplored in platform fighters like this. Beyond that, I was pulling for Tag (ModNation Racers), seconding Booker/Elizabeth, Lightning (Final Fantasy), and mayyyyybe someone from Dragon's Crown. I honestly could care less about Crash or Spyro getting in, though <Not to say I don't want them, they just aren't on my wishlist.>

On another note, the music in this game is outstanding. The way that the stages and music crossover each other is pretty unique, especially when the music tracks mix with each other DJ Hero-style during the transitions, the music for Graveyard being the best in the game IMO. Just have a listen:

While I'm still tired and nuts, I also wanted
Monokuma (Dangan Ronpa)
Hero Prinny or Overlord Laharl (Disgaea)
Jack Frost or Yu Narukami (Persona)

I think I was also holding for hope of Peacock, but eh

Aw yeah, man,
the Dojo theme is a favorite of mine, especially that transition,
I also really like Time Station for that surrealistic atmosphere,

Not even joking, if we got a soundtrack with some extra mash-up mixes thrown in from some other games not repped for music, I would buy that shit in a heartbeat.

Or they could go and rep GOD OF WAR some more. It's clearly under-repped.

Actually I was kinda glad for Zeus, because that means they could double dip.
I would not mind VERY varied Double Dips
Like I dunno, Carmelita or Murray from Sly, aforementioned Delsin Rowe, Victor "Goddamn" Sullivan from Uncharted, maybe Jetstream Sam or Senator Armstrong?
I would actually so be jazzed for Armstrong in any game, in fact, I made up his supers if he was in PSASBR
Level 1: A short range grab, if it connects, he throws them into the air, spinning like a ball, before exclaiming "Don't mess with this senator!" (Can't swear in a T Game) and kicking them, after travelling a distance, they explode, if they hit another player, that takes them out as well
Level 2: Grabs a large chunk of metal and hurls it diagonally
Level 3: Hops in Metal Gear EXCELLIUS (Super theme would be a snippet of Collective Consciousness)

or even

Hehe
VAMPIRE COLE.

Well, if we're posting movesets, I kinda made one for Tag a while back:

S is Square, T is Triangle, O is Circle, and X is obviously X/Cross

Tag is a bit of a charge character, in that his Triangle attacks take from the items from ModNation, and as such have 3 tiers of effect, like Spike's vO, with a little less than a second of charge between tiers. He rubs a bit off of Sackboy with his cicle attacks having temporary lasting effects on the stage. For the record, none of his grabs would have special properties.

Normals:

Block: Tag uses his Shield to make some distance between you and close-range attacks, preventing getting thrown out of it. Disappears after a second, after which turns into a regular block until the next guard.

Neutral S: Tag does a quick jab.

SSS: basic 3-hit combo.

<>S: Tag chucks a wheel, causing a fall down.

vS: Tag quickly gets out his kart, which promptly explodes to make opponents fly off, like getting hit from missiles or hitting Select during a race. This hits from both sides.

^S: Tag does a short-reaching Shoryuken.

Air Neutral S: Tag kicks straight down, shooting opponets straight down.

Air Side S: Tag gets his kart and does a 180, sending oppponents flying.

Air Down S: Same as his vS, but in the air. The attack goes with your jump like Cole's vS, so no using this to stall your airtime.

Air Up S: Tag headbutts upwards, sending you up a bit.

Neutral T: Bolt
Tier 1 uses Bolt to shoot a small spark forward to knock you back. Stops after hitting once;
Tier 2 uses Chain Bolt, which goes through what it hits until it hits a wall. causes an on-knees hit on grounded opponents;
Tier 3 causes Bolt Storm to spawn a slow moving storm cloud to shoot down 3 lightning strikes, with a second between each strike, causing opponents to electrocute. The actual cloud moves slightly slower than Big Daddy. Think Black Mage's <>Smash from Super Smash Flash 2, if you've played that game.

Side T: Charge
Tier 1 has Tag use Jumpstart to make a fast shoulder charge. Knocks opponents upward.
Tier 2 is Supercharge, which gives Tag a 2.5x walk/airspeed boost for about 3 seconds or until either he is attacked or he launches an attack/Super.
Tier 3 gives Tag Warp, where he teleports a pretty good distance, sending close-by opponents flying on re-entry. Warp distance is about half screen distance from Invasion's intro portion, but you can't chang the direction, only straight forward, and you can't attack or jump if you end up Warping above ground.

Down T: Nature
Tier 1 has Tag uses Pebble Blaster to slam a rock on the ground to knock close-by opponents on either side of you down.
Tier is Dust Devil, where Tag summons a sand twister around him that stuns opponents.
Tier 3 uses Rockslide, two large boulders shooting down around Tag that break upon touching ground. Opponents in the air get sent flying away, but with more AP gain; grounded opponents get hit to on-knees where Tag can follow with a super, but has much less AP gain.

Up T: Fire
Tier 1 gives Tag a Flaming Fury, a fast fireball shot straight upwards.
Tier 2's Triple Fury has Tag summon a big fireball that splits into 3 smaller balls shot diagonally both sides and upwards. The smaller fireballs go after hitting something, and hitting with the bigger fireball giving more AP.
Tier 3 uses Phoenix, where Tag sends a phoenix made of fire straight up, with smaller fireballs raining down from it in random directions. The phoenix sends opponents flying, while the fireballs persist until they hit pavement.

Air Neutral T: Tiers 1 and 2 are the same, but Bolt Storm is just a single strike down from where Tag is.

Air Side T: All 3 Tiers are the same.

Air Down T: Tiers 2 and 3 are the same, but Tag throws the rock down on an air Pebble Blaster.

Air Up T All 3 Tiers are the same.

Neutral O: Tag puts an oil slick on the ground to trap opponents. Disappears if Tag gets KO'd

Side O: Tag plants a boost pad. Anyone that steps on it shoots straight forward. Disappears if Tag gets KO'd.

Down O: Tag brings out a fire pad that will shoot up flames to sent opponents upward, with OK AP gain. Disappears after 3 uses or if Tag gets KO'd.

Up O: Tag brings out a ramp that doesn't have specials, but good for stopping straight-shot projectiles cold. Disappears if Tag gets KO'd.

Air O Moves: <All air O moves are the same as the ground versions, they just drop from in front of Tag.

Supers
-LVL. 1: Tag Spawns a Lil' Devastator, which crushes anyone that stands on the crush pad, then disappears. Basically acts as a mine that causes a KO. The top acts a an extra wall.
-LVL. 2: Tag sends a Hydra missile cluster to blast through opponents. Acts as a taller but slower version of Spike's LVL. 2.
-LVL. 3: Tag Uses Toxic Cesspool to smear death onto the ground from a large hill in the background. Functionally works like Good Cole's LVL. 3, but restricted to the ground in exchange for insta-killing opponents instead of trapping them, and longer lasting. moving the cesspool covers both the ground and any platforms above the cesspool's range. The cesspool's width is just slightly less than the platform on the water tower in Paris.

Well, there seems to be more hope for Cole Phelps being in this games sequel than in smash ever, but I will hold strong.
