A Smash Bros game made for and by competitive players in the form of a Touhou Doujin Derivative.
What's special about this "Smasher" ?
This game features some abilities that return from previous games, make certain gameplay elements easier, and also incorporate features that have never before been seen in the Smash Bros games. Since this is based on the Touhou Project culture, and there are certain elements which both the official and derivative games make sure to include!

1- Free Float! All characters can float around similar to Peach, or Mewtwo from SSBB Project M. It allows for a unique air combo game!

2- Wake-up Grab: To improve options for counter-play, a grounded enemy has the option to grab upon wake-up!

3- Air Grab: All characters have three standard air grabs: Up, Side, and Down!

4- Spell Cards: Touhou is at it's core a Bullet Hell shooter, and we wanted to make sure that aspect of it was present in this derivative game. However, it is incorporated in a way that character balance in the game still takes priority unlike Smash Bros Brawl's "Final Smash" mechanic which left certain characters with major advantages over others randomly.

5- Overwhelm, when 2 characters grab each other at the same time they will struggle, the winner of the struggle busts out a very powerful attack.

P.S:
By default we intend to release this game on Windows, Mac and Linux. We are also very interested in exploring the possibility of a console release later in development.

A playable public demo will be released before this campaign ends, please wait warmly!

Still though, not entirely sure.
I really do hope it gets funded, just feel sorta iffy about the whole thing
Hisotensoku and Mega Mari and Super Marisa world were all not free doujin games.
Soku was and is very popular, and it was sold.

This game even copies moves to the teeth from Soku.

This is the worst.
PLEASE don't even think about giving any amount of money to this shit.

Not sure why anyone would want a random mod of Smash anyway. Melee is still one of the best fighters of all time, Project M and Smash 4 exist, etc.

I'd be more interested in an original "platformer fighter" concept than an unnecessary clone by unproven developers who are asking money for their experiment.

Besides the only good thing about Touhou is the gameplay design in the shmups* (which has been going downhill since Ten Desires). The story, setting, and characters are awful and are a blight upon their games (several of my attempts to comprehend the dialogue has resulted in brain damage). Under no circumstances should that cancer be spread to anything that is not Touhou.

And the music is over-rated too. This is how you do shmup music.

eh, the art style isn't very consistent, but tbh it looks pretty good for early development stuff. It LOOKS like it has the feel of Melee, except for the universal float, of course.

This is the kind of thing I could only really judge by getting to play it, it is too hard to judge a game that lives off its pleasing movement from just watching videos.

To anyone who hasn't seen it, this is the third expansion to the fighter series with unique gameplay:

Duckator vs Zeru

THIS GAME WILL BE MADE, BUT THE FUNDING HAS DISCONTINUED, PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO FOR ALL THE DETAILS, WE WILL PUT THE PLAN INTO ACTION LATER TODAY.
Zun approves the idea but not the crowdfunding...

Weather Rhapsody , when i played that game all the way back when it came out it was okay. maybe i should take a look at it again.

I always find the idea of profiting by selling copies of a game that's using someone else's IP unsettling, but crowdfunding that game seems particularly bad (give me money to make this thing based on that thing you love so I can sell it to you). But there're a bunch of people who are going to enjoy it, so it's fine I guess.
