shout outs to Ieyasu for looking at guys who fight in mechs, use multiple swords, flying anchors, several fire arms, magic, and being "y'know, I think my fists'll be enough"

but Motochika will always be my favorite.

Pirate Warriors 3 confirmed for the West
Summer 2015
 
Pirate Warriors 3 follows the story from beginning all the way to Dressrosa, it seems
they aren't skimping on the details either

they got Alvida and Tashigi in there
so who knows who else will be playable
 
Looking at the footage they've released of Pirate Warriors 3
It looks like the Style Action parts of the movesets have been added to the normals
I'm really happy about that change, I didn't like how some characters had parts of their movesets locked in their super mode

Gameplay footage of some characters! Tashigi looks pretty fun! And Mihawk looks super buffed with being able to chain into T moveset now. Hype is happening at a breakneck pace!
 
Wait, you mean we couldn't play as Lucci before?
What the fuck took them this long?
I can tell you right now this'll be the first Pirate Warriors I play for that reason.
 
Lucci was a pretty popular request for a while, but PW1 was kinda barren and PW2 was mostly concerned with adding stuff like Thriller Bark, The Whitebeard War, and Post Timeskip stuff

They're evening everything out more in this entry, it looks like
adding the most recent arc and more pre-timeskip stuff
 
He was playable in 2, don't worry
He should be in good form back in 3
with Mr. 1 being there, we'll probably get an expanded Alabasta segment too
maybe even playable Vivi!
 
I'm probably gonna get the physical copy of Pirate Warriors 3 when it comes out.
I think that's why I never quite got around to other Warriors games.
Most of the time they were just digital only
 
Bart and Baby 5 are the only other Dressrosa reps we need
i have faith in them to follow up on this
 
Bart has a good chance. Baby 5, I dunno. Her moveset could be so creative considering how expansive her DF powers are.

Shin megami tensei/Persona warriors could be a thing. hell, enemies come by the dozens and it worked for a fighting game anyway
 
So we got a little interesting bit of info on PW3 that interested me
an official said that the game has 37 playable characters
the same amount that PW2 had
now I don't think that they're gonna remove characters, but rather fold different variations into a single character slot
so you can just toggle between pre/post timeskip Strawhats or single/double Teach on the select screen
that's like minus 11 slots right there
so we got a lot of room right now

Lucci looks pretty tight and Kuzan still looks busted as hell

Usopp's new musou attack is godlike though ;-;
