I'm pretty new to Skullgirls and fighting games in general, so I apologize in advance if any of this stuff seems really obvious / stupid.
So I was watching some Skullgirls competitions and gameplay, and I noticed that the combos and resets used were different each time. Currently, what I'm trying to do is to learn a basic combo which I use whenever I get a hit confirm, but I was wondering if if would be better if I were to learn what combo strings work and then sort of tie them together during a game which is what I seem to be seeing. Could I get some advice on this?
