Training diaries with videos seem to be trendy, so here goes.

My goals in this week of training are to rely more on resets and to be more reliable on my hit confirms. The hit confirms are a work in progress, but I have a very clean way to practice resets. I just never complete combos unless they'll kill. As an incidental bonus, the practice on resets has made me better at recognizing when another player is going to reset. I don't always react correctly, but I've been learning to spot players that go for resets and those that don't. I'm also enjoying having infinite meter by resetting frequently.

Here's a nice 1 hour session from today

Still trying to learn, here's some stuff courtesy of Fenster. I'll go over my thoughts tomorrow when i have more time to go over the games, but initial thoughts: I down+back assist call waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much.

EDIT:
thoughts: not seeing too many full combos except when going for kill or dhc. I'm noticing a tendency towards frame trap or return to neutral over full pressure resets though.

i have no ground game for eliza or squigly. I'm not even sure if there is a ground neutral game for squigly.

Two things i saw with my parasoul: use b.hk more. or at all. practice using napalm trigger. I saw several points where i was dropping tears ok, but never detonating them effectively

d/b + assist was already mentioned, up back saw too much defensive play. I don't mind using it with squigly if they go for an airborne reset; double jumping to safety. Just doing it seems bad though

Learn to tech grabs or mash harder.

On the positive, I really like that knockdown into meaty bike setup. I need to see what all i can do with that.

general stuff: i find my reset game is significantly better if i don't think my opponent is good. It sounds silly to say, but I've been finding myself going ham against people i don't respect (in gameplay terms). So, in QM, I go crazy and don't let the green bar go over half except to kill. against others, I'll get a few more hits in before i start resetting. I think I need to try playing drunk

EDIT 2: I'm a moron. was forgetting that it's tremelow now. gotta charge that kick

My own thoughts that I remembered:

- You only have an air approach, and never do anything from the ground. That's why I got as many air grabs as I did.

- As you said yourself, you downbacked + assist a lot when you didn't know how to be careful in neutral.

- Going on the previous two points though, you almost always upbacked immediately out of pressure, again which is why I got air grabs.

- You still almost never went for resets. Some games you did and it was okay, but in most cases you still didn't, especially with non squigly characters.

- I think the tick grabs I went for with double were like 100% hit ratio?
