Is there a way to link this correctly?ive done this and for some moves it creates a ground bounce but not sure what to follow up with after that.
 
If it hits someone when they're in the air, it'll cause a groundbounce.
 
What DDB said. It's most common use outside of neutral is as a more advanced combo linker. From it's ground bounce you can forward dash into s.LPx2 for a re-launch. Check out the Filia combo thread and they give video demonstrations of its use.
