Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

so just got finished talking with the indiegogo help center. They said i can't just pay the difference to get up to the $500 tier. You have to pay the whole perk price. and i don't want to/can't wait days for the refund. Any chance there is a work around to just pay the difference?

Talk to Peter and/or Render. They will probably allow you to have two separate pledges which they will treat as bigger tier internally and will ship you that stuff accordingly. They were doing it with SG campaign when IGG didn't have upgrade feature in place.

Wow thats dumb.

like Mike said. "Kickstarter" is the kleenex of words used when talking about fund raising campaigns.
And it's still been treated as something that should be corrected, at least from what I've seen from Lab Zero.

I'm not denigrating Sanshee or anything, it's a cool promotion.

Having no description on those pages, I dono how to unlock them.
Beat Arcade mode with a given character on your team. Some things unlock from Character N's arcade mode, some unlock for ALL arcade modes done, some unlock for ALL stories done.
Not sure if this was answered in the last 4 pages. :^|

Hey come on, don't you want to see those two in the game? I know I do!
If that's any indication we are DEFINITELY going to talk about how they are approached. :^P

Hello. I usually do not log onto the forum that often, but I just wanted to ask a quick question regarding a specific backer reward.
[snip]
I was wondering if doing so would make me lose out on that opportunity.
It should not screw anything up to upgrade. Even if SOMETHING screws up, if you tell us what happened (at the worst, point to this post) you won't.

You too? I've been waiting for him since the original announcement trailer!
Hopefully they will reveal him before the campaign ends.
That depends on if it's funded, doesn't it? :^P

So Mike I gotta ask, since Indivisible is inspired a lot from Super Metroid will the weapon tree be a set of linear upgrades like it was in that game?
"Linear upgrades" as opposed to what other thing?
How on Earth are SM's upgrades linear? Have you SEEN the sequence breaks or the low% stuff or...anything?
To me, skill trees are linear upgrades because you ARE LITERALLY REQUIRED to unlock earlier skills in order to get later ones. There IS no other order. Sure, you can choose which branch to pursue, but you can't get the last ability in a branch without the first one. You can TOTALLY do that in SM.
I haven't played it but I have watched a fair amount of footage and it seems like the Ice Beam is this kind of upgrade for platforming stuff, but at the same time makes a lot of the enemy combat irrelevant after that.
Don't judge how the game works from speedruns, go play the game. You do not get Ice Beam until way far in, and it doesn't work like you think it does. You'd hella enjoy it, and it would help this topic. :^) Seriously, you should not speak from a position of ignorance.
And anyway, Indivisible IS NOT Super Metroid, so even if Ice Beam were somehow gamebreaking in SM, that balance choice does not apply to Indivisible at all? The part of SM's items that I am inspired by is that they are presented by exploration or plot, rather than level ups or shops.

Yeah you can't judge how hard a game is by high level footage, you have no idea what kind of subtle things they are doing to control the situation.

Will the sales from Sanshee be reflected at all in the campaign, or not until the end?

Nah it wasn't answered, and I've done that. Plenty of times, specially on PC with Fortune/Val and never had those. I'd run a test, but just recently killed Marie 300% again.. I'll load a dummy account and try it.

Also I didn't know that you get them from beating Arcade mode. With them all blank, could of been like "beat the game 100 times with a char". There's som'in that I've been told from playing Mario Maker: "You may know how it works, but it doesn't mean everyone else does." I still have a few stages I marked "easy" unbeaten cause people can't figure it out.

edit: On my laptop's version, since I only beat Marie with Robofotune, I ran the Arcade and only unlocked Fortune/Val's Line Up shot. the others are still locked up tight.

who knows if it's Rage, It could be something that Woolie and the Gang design themselves. Like I can imagine Mat and Woolie at their local library wearing reading glasses, looking up mythological monsters that they think would be cool to have as a boss.

And then that'll be the monster that Rage rides into battle on.

super metroid
Sorry, I'll get around to playing it sooner or later. Maybe. Probably.
Anyways thanks for answering/lecturing/scolding, have a Super Metroid run recorded at a really nice resolution.

I still hoping for anyone gets the 20k tier... I want another incarnation :D

If it's the Woolie i think it is, then the Baz is confirmed!

Yeah, he doesn't fit much, but i don't mind seeing that running gag around!

Question: We can make another Thunderclap to the last day?

Well if I'm not wrong the guest bosses will be hidden and optional, just like in Und-
If someone wanted to make a boss that fit within the lore, then I could see it being a part of the main game. I hope someone's willing to push their OC aside so they can do that. Honestly, I feel like that would be the real fun of working on a boss, and making something that had a closer connection to the world-building of the game.

Like, I was happy to find out that the Liquid Samurai in Shovel Knight were a guest creation, because they were pretty clever, subtle, and fit nicely into the final stages. They might not have had the funny dialogue and cutscenes that the other guest creations got, but they are the only guest characters that anyone sees during a speedrun.

'Course, I'll have no objections if I run into Baz during my Indivisible playthrough either. All the high-tier contributors are godlike, and I'm excited to see what they help create for the game.

Here's what Mike said when I asked him ~50 pages back: (snip)

Thank you both for answering my question! Now I know that I can donate more without any worry. It is not much, but I hope that it can help the campaign.

So i dont want to sound like im complaining but, when is the next incarnation going to be revealed? Two days ago the twitter said it would be revealed yesterday, and its still not out. Also, we've reached a pretty nice rate for donations! i think we're going to pull through

monday.

monday.

No no...

The next GUEST incarnation goes Monday.

The next incarnation, the 1.15k one, probably the Iron-fist girl, maybe will be revealed today, at night (by Revidrath, in Neogag).

Working on the text for the new Incarnation... holiday weekend has made working on this stuff difficult.

Hope to have it out tonight.

I'm gonna start calling people who mention Undertale in this thread, Underboobs.

Can I, though?

Do you really believe most people can do that, though? :^P It's generally "I want to see MY character in here" rather than "I really hope they have a boss based on a chimera, I'm gonna make sure mine is a chimera!"

I'd do that actually. Unless I funded for a Secret Area, I woulda done an actual monster boss thing.

The wait for giant steel fist girl is killing me. I already know for a fact that Im going to end up using her immediately when I get her.

Damn my fetish for gauntlet type weapons and punching the shit out ot stuff in games lol

Luv ya' Kit, but come on; if you're going to drop that kind of money, best believe you're going to want something that's personally relevant to you. I don't think limiting yourself to just what you think would "fit" will make anyone happy.
