Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

Wasn't vocal about it, but the so nicknamed whistler (or as I thought of him - dziad borowy) has been among my most anticipated incarnation reveals ever since I first saw him.
He sertainly looks like one. Nice, we're getting a slavic character AND a caster in one package with a high probability. I'm more than cool with that. Also that means that probability of Baba-Yaga rises slightly above zero.

Count me among those looking forward to the other archer. Sometimes simple and classic is best.

I think at this point everyone of the incarnations has a group that is interested in them, vocal or not depending on some of the characters and who knows maybe some of the characters backstory will pick up further support for them.

Imagine team Zebei, Phoebe, Archer Guy and Ajna with bow. :P

A walking arrow-gatling.

There is a possibility that there will be some incarnation that are there only to teach Ajna how to use certain weapons. The last archer and the ninja guy could be this.

Really close to 1.35M. Soon it wiil reach the goal and I can't wait to see that 100% funded. After that I wonder how spread out the stretch goals are.

I go to sleep, I wake up and we made almost 50K and hit the 90%???

Yo

YOOO

TIME TO REWATCH SOME ANIME FOR THEM MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES

Wait, what's this about online co-op?

Are you implying

I can just play Annie

pffffffffttttt... Oh DDB. Mike's not just going to give you complete control over Annie. That would be way too foolish. No I'm guessing you're going to have to use a full team or something like that.

Ninja...

I was never in control.

I don't know you, but PLEASE don't do that. Keep some money for unknown needs! Life is unpredictable - don't do something foolish.
It would make me greatly uncomfortable to know you did that.

Also...whatever we make has to fit the world, and if they're playable we're going to be a lot stricter about that than we were with SG NPCs. I don't know who you've got in mind, but to be frank, Chainer definitely does not fit.

It SO is! :^|

Thanks for being so frank and putting things into perspective Mike, I have an ongoing job and I wouldn't have been left completely broke but the dreamer in me just made me fixate on how amazing it would have been to collaborate with you and the team and someday play as a character I designed (plus it's a personal goal of mine to design characters for video games that go on to be remembered).

I did attempt to ask on Twitter for more details on the rules and restrictions of designing an Incarnation given some of the guest characters are pretty out there in looks and abilities but I didn't get a response on that one (though I have a library of other character designs I would have considered that are more suitable)

I'm still content that Chainer remains a permanent background fixture in Skullgirls and I'll learn to be content with an NPC I co-designed with my girlfriend (I'm a Patron Saint as it currently stands).

I miss so much when I sleep, damn. I can't believe how much the campaign has earned overnight. It seems like it is basically guaranteed we'll make it, now.
I will be so happy when this game gets funded

Waking up to see that this game had reached 90% made my month.

That's good to hear! Really though, I want to stress, not just to you but to EVERYONE - I said the same thing to Verdant, etc - only spend what you can afford! It's a game, and while it's a nice game (^.^) and we would of course like your contributions, it is NOT worth overextending your finances for. SAVE some money! Maybe take your girlfriend on a vacation instead, or something. :^)

Guest characters are specifically not an integral part of the main game, and are also characters we want, that we already have ideas on how to implement in a sensible way. Given that backer characters are not already known to be characters we want, and we would ideally like them to be actually worked into the story, it's not really a comparison. If you wanted a playable broom that talked drawkcab and were okay with it being end-game-optional we might be more inclined to let it slide, though that is not really the aim of the tier.

Aaaaand $1,35m is here.

Real 90% get and now we just need to repeat Squigly. :3

I cannot believe we have come this far it feels so good.

We got two more reveals upcoming and I am so looking forward to it.

I say we have to repeat getting all stretch goals!

Well if slacker backer is open for at least 12 months, that's a perfect amount of time for me to get 900 more dollars within that time from to get an NPC. (Would be able to save a bit from my checks)

Honestly, slacker backer is a very very smart move by Indiegogo. It's great because you don't have to break the bank!

Whoa, now we're moving so fast, there are three Incarnations jammed in the reveal doorway, elbowing and pivoting to get out of the straining frame. 1.25, 1.3, and 1.35!
  • 1.2 Kogi
  • 1.25 Ropes Girl
  • 1.3 Kusarigama Ninja
  • 1.35 Yet-Unseen Female Incarnation
  • 1.4 Scottish Samurai
  • 1.45 Yet-Unseen Female Incarnation
  • 1.5 Crusty Whistler
  • 1.55 Yet-Unseen Female Incarnation
  • 1.6 Renaissance Archer
At the current rate, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a fourth piled in the reveal queue! I predict "Ropes Girl" and the "Kusarigama Ninja" are close because their art was shown being worked on in the Nov. 24 campaign update video. And then "Scottish Samurai" is the only Incarnation from the debut trailer still waiting backstage.

Wasn't vocal about it, but the so nicknamed whistler (or as I thought of him - dziad borowy) has been among my most anticipated incarnation reveals ever since I first saw him.
Very interesting. The blank eyes of "Crusty Whistler" and his scruffy looks made me think he was a blind mountainman, but perhaps his feral appearance could mean he's a fiend. Maybe he is a Leshy. Thorani is divine. Lanshi is a dog. Maybe the "Whistler" is inhuman as well.

We already had the 1.25 update. They said they are running out of Incarnations to reveal so they showed a story mode concept instead.

These are some hella nice numbers to wake up to. We got this.

Has anyone else become strangely attached to the name Crusty Whistler??

I would strangely say so in that it was just in his initial appearance he seemed like just some old guy and he sort of became more intriguing after it was pointed he might be a whistler of some kind and what Muro mentioned of his potential concepts of what sort of being he might be.

Also most of the character I am hyped for with a couple of exceptions have already gone so my hype might be spreading to other characters.

Amazing coincidence or maybe people within TED are secretly showing there Indivisible support with today's video:
It is all about conservation of Roti tapirs.

Like Roti, all tapirs are always on the move. Instead of a red bandana, they get a reflective collar to help alert drivers to avoid the wandering beasts. Not unlike armadillos in Texas, roadkill is a big problem for tapirs.
Although the tapir is one of the world's largest land mammals, the lives of these solitary, nocturnal creatures have remained a mystery. Known as "the living fossil," the very same tapir that roams the forests and grasslands of South America today arrived on the evolutionary scene more than 5 million years ago. Today, threats from poachers, deforestation and pollution, especially in quickly industrializing Brazil, threaten this longevity.

Cool vid but I liked this one better (Warning: animal penis at some point):

Oh that is a neat character design, Fan character and Kaldi for Maximum coffee bros.
