I agree with Ruby at the end.

Also Steam Greenlight? Fuck. There's no way that this game is going to not get that spot XD

Probably will, there are a lot of die-hard Monty Oum fans, let alone RT fans.

Moved discussion posts of the game from the main RWBY show thread here to a more appropriate section.

RWBY Musou with co-op cool. No doubt it will be approved fast and give further exposure to the main show through Steam. Hope the actual game is fun and we can use more then just Team RWBY eventually. There is too much to work with just to be restricted by those four especially when Musous typically have many characters to use.

one of the things that bothers me from the video is Yang... that Running animation....

I'm hoping that the actual combo system plays more like a Platinum game than a Musou game. I wonder what the dodging system is going to be like...

Yet another game to add to my list.

And another empty wallet, but it will be worth it.

This game looks pretty swood.

I bet that it'll have bombad gameplay.

Why Early Access?
“The animated series RWBY has an amazing community of devoted fans and dedicated gamers that have dreamed of a RWBY game for years now. We are a small team within Rooster Teeth that has worked day and night to make this dream become a reality.

We decided to launch Early Access because testing and feedback are critical components of game development. We are continuously balancing existing features and trying out new ideas and we need players to help us test those ideas in order to deliver the best game possible. We’re looking forward to continuing the development of RWBY: Grimm Eclipse with your help!”
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“We plan to be in Early Access for approximately 8-10 months (assuming our production schedule goes as planned).”
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“RWBY: Grimm Eclipse is a multiplayer co-op game designed to be played over and over again with friends. We’ve divided the storyline into three separate campaigns, each having their own unique gameplay features, enemies, and locations (4 levels per campaign). The Early Access version is the first of three campaigns planned for the full game.

We think the first campaign is already loads of fun offering countless hours of gameplay, but with the help of our community we plan to continue balancing combat, controls, visuals, and sounds as well as integrating achievements and fixing any bugs that pop up along the way. During that time, we will also continue development on the other two campaigns. Once they are ready for release, we will follow a similar process of bug fixing, balancing, and polishing until all campaigns are ready for final launch”
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“RWBY: Grimm Eclipse is a fully playable multiplayer co-op game with support for up to 4 players. The core gameplay is complete offering 4 different characters to choose from (each with their own unique weapons, combat skills and upgrade trees), 4 levels to explore, and hordes of enemies to fight.”
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“Yes, we plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features. Get in early for a lower price and help us make a better game!”
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
“Community is VERY important to us! We will be listening to your feedback on Steam and within Rooster Teeth’s gaming group located here: http://www.roosterteeth.com/group/rtgames

But please keep in mind, we don’t have hundreds of people managing the community. We are only 4 game developers who are doing our best to make a great game, while also watching the forums for your feedback. So please be patient with us if you don’t get an immediate response… we’ll eventually get caught up! Thanks! :-)”
