Personal Meow-Professor's Art Thread

Hahaha, you can just say it, I draw big breasts.
Sorry, I couldn't make the tight clothing look detailed.

I'm really struggling with my legs actually. They look fine themselves but I don't know how to make them bend naturally. it is something I'm really working on (along with depth, this gives me trouble).
This might be useful.

And the best thing is trying to see other pics of artists that you like doing the thing, and trying to use as reference.

If you don't have much artists that you like, the advice i can give you, start looking for some. It is really helpful. xD

You have "interesting" proportion choices.

I think Soterius covered most parts, so I'll try putting in tips instead of criticising your work.

You should try drawing real people for change, drawing still life of real people can really help you improve on your proportions. Most starting illustrators forgets how important drawing from real people is. Ask your friend or family member to model for you, and start drawing them. You can start with the face then the body.

Other thing I can tell you is to start drawings hands more. From what I've seen from your drawings, drawing hands isn't your best suit. Look at your hands and draw them. try different gestures to draw from. and spend maximum of 10 minute on each gesture. Trying drawing them one after the other.

TD;DR Try drawing from real people for change.

Yah, as Smile said, hands seem to be rough for you, but dun worry, my hands tend to be even worse. Hands are of the devil D:

I actually found that attempting to draw "robotic" or jointed hands helped me. Drawing hands formed of multiple separate parts while retaining the shape overall.

I know what you must do.

the 100 challenge: you draw the body part which you are bad at 100 times consecutively.
I had a friend that had a problem drawing feet, and he did the challenge.
immediate improvement towards the end.

all you need to find is 100 different images of hands in various poses.
then trace them in your style.

whoa whoa whoa hey now.
ain't nothing wrong with being very generous of the chesticles.
albeit you're not as bad as oversize shit I've seen on deviantart.
so in all honesty, you're fine in that regard.

I'm sorry I didn't respond, I was gone for a few days and missed this alert when I was going through them.
Thank you for the resources and tips, I appreciate it.
the chesticles.
I hope you know I'm going to steal this, by the way.

Btw, for the hundred challenge, you don't have to do it all at once.
You can do it in intervals of like, 25, 10, or even five.
As long as you copy 100 sets of hands it should hopefully help.
And I forgot to mention it should be actual human parts.

Here's some Indivisible fanart for a change.
Razmi sketch.png
I'm planning on coloring this soon but something came up so it'll take a few days.

I think i told before, but i really like how you do clothing in general.

And i'm going to sound pervert, but i really like the breasts you've drawing in the last pics, there is a certain improvement there.

But i need to say something, i can't see her arms, i'm trying to locate them, really, but the lines and the chaos is not allowing me to do that.

EDIT: forget that, the arms are raised, sorry. D=

Sorry with how rough it is- they're near her head, reaching behind her back, if it helps.

You should try to use darker lines for your art. I can barely see anything with this monitor. Also, try working on your anatomy for a bit, it could use some work. Overall I love the effort you put into your work. Keep it up!

Hi yes sorry I haven't updated this in ages. I've actually been reworking my artstyle as I didn't really like how things were going (I felt like everything was too cute so I just gave up and decided to start drawing differently). I've messed with how I draw faces a bit and while it isn't that large of a change, I still wanted to make sure I was happy with where I was. I should have more Indivisible/Skullgirls art soon, though.

I dunno.

I liked that it was cute. I just wish you had more distinct lineart. it's just very hard to see.

I'm honestly curious about your new style! Changing style is not easy and the important is to have joy in doing what you do. =P

Oh, it still isn't visible? Sorry about that, I thought it was good now. I'll make sure to make the lines more visible later.

I mean you can see the lines, it just makes it hard to distinguish some things.

Thorani sketch (smaller).png
Sketch, I might finish it but eh. I've not been in the mood to color lately again. Wanted to do something more with the pose but I wasn't happy with how it was turning out. Also yes I know the lines are too light, forgot to change the brush size.
I'm planning to do a lot more Indivisible art, hopefully. It's between drawing Kushi or Dhar next. Or not, I'll probably change my mind.

ooh, I like this style. not too different from your own.
I like it.
it's cute.

I will say, if there was one thing I would say could use a little bit of improvement, the hands.

they're kinda tiny.

You definitely make the hair "feel" wet, like it's got extra weight on it from being drenched. And... I don't know it just seems neat.

Thank you for the feedback, everyone, I really appreciate it. I made the hands bigger, does it look better? I like the smaller hands, but making it look correct is more important to me.

I think so? The hands don't seem off proportionally to me. I think I'm one of those "needs to see the pics side-by-side to notice a difference" guys though.

I checked side-by-side before I uploaded it and I'd say it is like 25% or so larger. I wouldn't know either honestly! I've always drawn them like this and I never bothered to really check how they should be drawn.

I just think her right one seems a bit smaller compared to her other one.
like, I can tell you're trying to make it smaller because it's in the background, it just kinda either makes her hand look too small/far away.
not bad though, I do remember you said you werent good with hands so it's an improvement.

did you ever get a chance to try the hundred challenge?

Remember most of the hand is obscured by her hair, so you might not just be seeing it. I'm not trying to make it smaller as it isn't far enough in the distance for me to bother. I'll look at it later, I'm not near my tablet atm, thanks.
Yes, I did it today actually after this, I got to like 17 or so (lost count, going with that) so hopefully when I have time I can.
Edit: hair not hand, I'm very silly.

take your time with it.
it's not really a race, it's just so you can understand things like common angles and proportions.
saw a guy do a hundred challenge with feet.
dude actually did 100 on a stream and could do it lightning fast near the end.
it was magical.

This kind of challenge robs a man of its sanity

I mean, yeah, if you're trying to do it as fast as you can.
but it's not a speed challenge.
it's a challenge on improving your weaknesses.

Cool, it's neat that you draw them in a fairly different style! It looks nice ^_^
