Hah, they're doing Kirby Super Star 100%. I fully expect screwups involving Great Cave Offensive.

Stream is a bit quiet so far, I hope they improve this as it goes along. Also there are quite a few games I am looking forward to like Spyro 2, Crash bandicoot warped and Deus ex human revolution.

The audio does seem to have improved as of now and the current run is going quite well so far.

I think I missed the announcement but they seem have go up to 20k so far.

Shout outs to cows on stream. :PUN:

Latest GDQ just started. Schedule looks a little lacklustre this time tbh.

Looks to me like there's a bunch of good stuff. Splatoon was a fantastic start to the marathon, Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz was good (though the following SMB1 run felt like there was no energy in the room to accompany a normally exciting game), SM64 race was great as always with some chokes to add to the tension, and this SM64 multiplayer hack going on right now is hilariously broken.

Stuff I'm looking forward to: Battleblock Theater (though IDK if they're having the devs Skype in again), Kaizo Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario Maker (if you don't know about how this is gonna work, just wait and see, it's really something special), Super Mario World 0-Exit race, Punch-Out!! blindfolded and SPO, and Majora's Mask 4 players 1 controller (how the fuck?).

And most importantly, TASbot block is gonna be so much better than SGDQ2015's Youtube videos. They're gonna have it race humans (how is this even fair?), Brain Age is my absolute favorite TAS besides the total control stuff, and they're gonna debut a new total control.

You may be right. The only games I saw on the schedule that looked at all interesting to me were TASbot, games I used to run myself, and to see what runs of Cloudbuilt (god I hated playing that game, but I haven't seen a run of it yet), Super Star Wars and Age of Empires look like. I don't have a particularly big data cap so I was planning to just be tuning into the things I already know I'll enjoy, though maybe I'll run it in the background at times and hope for a surprise.

The only thing I saw that I'm particularly interested in is Blast Corps cause I heard the route for that one apparently has changed a lot, but it's on at Fuck You O'Clock so I'm probably just gonna have to watch the VOD for that one.

Dan and Stamper confirmed they're Skyping this AGDQ again with some more of the crew and I'm hyped

That was on Monday, you missed it. And yeah, it was great.

I am also watching this and have been since sunday!

The SMM blind race was amazing, but I gotta say the hard level race feels a bit cheapened by the fact that they edited in checkpoints for all of these even though the runners have had plenty of practice without them

I think the checkpoints were to save a bit of time, because after the race people would probably get tired of the game a bit quicker.

Have to say that I'm enjoying this event more than I was expecting at the start.

For the first time in GDQ history, Mike Tyson has been taken down blindfolded.

I still remember AGDQ 2014 when they said Tyson was impossible.

oh god the memes

All in all it was a pretty good event, not sure why I was so pessimistic at the start. AoE was pretty boring unfortunately (and the guy never grouped his units?), but lots of other good stuff.

Also the Mirror's Edge run actually cleared up how to get around the thing that made me quit the game, which was a nice surprise, so I'm debating whether to start running that again before Catalyst.
