Why are all of my recording slots identical?

I'm trying to rig up a training scenario in which Valentine throws scalpels from three different ranges -- the problem is, every time I change the recording slot, it has absolutely zero effect. All of the recording slots are identical to what ever was initially recorded. I tried changing the select button action but it had no effect as well, and I'm really trying to keep both the training dummy action and the position of Player 1 and the training dummy.

Here, take a look:

What's going on here? I can't tell if it's a bug or if I'm doing something wrong. I could have sworn I've done this in the past, but now the dummy recorder absolutely refuses to do what I tell it to do. The only alternative is to manually reposition the dummy for each range, but this prohibits me from practicing with the select button set to random or sequential.

Edit: Good grief, is there any way to edit a thread title? Proof reading skills went out the window this time.

You can't have more than 1 save state.
You can only have more than one recording slot.

The recording slot is changing between different recordings of 236PP but it's loading whatever the last created save state was.

You can't record three different savestates, you're just recording the same thing on the three slots and saved the position from the last one.
