My thoughts on 2nd Encore for PC [Not purposely directed to Mike Z]

Would you pay for 2nd Encore as paid DLC for PC?

  • HECKKKK YESSSS, TAKE MY MONEY

  • Mmmm,...not sure

This is just a convenience thing, but there's currently no way to buy "Skullgirls complete" on Steam. A complete version basically just means you click one button to buy the game and all DLC rather than having to add the game and all DLC to your cart seperately. Not sure if that's on Steam or Lab Zero or Marvelous's or whose end, but if the 2nd Encore DLC comes to PC it would be a good option. Most of the time when I'm buying a game on Steam, especially during sales, I look for that option to do that. It's also extra incentive for people to grab the game and all it's DLC in a lot of cases, especially during sales.

A little off-topic, but isn't this game suppose to have voice overs for the cutscenes in storymode? I have 2nd Encore on the PC and my story mode doesn't have any voices.

"Skullgirls 2nd Encore is an enhanced version of Skullgirls Encore which was released exclusively for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on July 7, 2015. It is also planned to be released as a DLC upgrade to the original Skullgirls on Steam, but full confirmation of this is still needed."

As for PC version saying 2nd Encore on the title screen.. yeah, I dunno.

Not sure where this is from, especially since it says "released on Vita", but...

Encore was Squigly.
2nd Encore is the last gameplay updates + Robo.
All versions (Win/Lin/Mac/360 + xBone backward compat/PS3/PS4) are currently 2nd Encore.

PS4/Vita VERSIONS of 2E have exclusive features for a minimum length of time, before we can bring them to PC. It's also somewhat due to my being busy.

Do you see the Vita version out yet? ;_;
of i see sorry for stupid question ;-)

But the good news is that we finally got Vita date ;-)

1 Vita date. I think we still need the EU release date, and then for Mike to set up the lobby system with all of console games, which shouldn't be too big? I hope... after that then Mike will port over the extra stuff as DLC yay, take my extra 5 bucks or something.

2 Vita dates under that logic.

How 'bout an update!

Voiced Story Mode, Trials, Challenges, and Survival have been implemented and tested on PC as a DLC package. We're waiting for some weird "okay" from Valve that we've never had to wait for before.

@render are you still planning on improving the trials?

Yes, but it'll be for the lobbies patch.
Whoa whoa whoa, lobbies patch?! Could you reveal more information on that please? :D

Lobbies are [still] coming to consoles, which is the last patch. Been planned forever and ever.

LOBBIES! ALL THE LOBBIES! GLORIOUS! IT WILL BE GLORIOUS! *glitches/freezes/ctd's are features* Never said this.

I really wish you guys all the luck in the world to get it right. Can't wait for this patch. Also the arcade performance optimizations for PC. *drools*

Personally i don't really care all to much if i actually do waste money on double dipping on dlc i already have. I'll buy the dlc anyway, even if i already have character and palette DLC. People not so much attached to the game that might enjoy the story, might want to pick up this dlc as it does enhance the casual peoples experience. Then again not sure if there is any discounts for having said previous dlc characters/palettes. Might detour some people away from buying into this. So... maybe some info on this might be nice for that specific audience. But as for me... i'm a brainless SG zombie that will scoop up anything i can get my hands on. RIP me lol

At this point I don't even know how much more money/working hours lab Zero can use to improve SG... They have both hands full with Indivisible
