The day the 2nd Encore Upgrade went live on PC (13th April 2016), the game received an update to some files here and there. The music-win.gfs file responsible for the game's soundtrack was among those updated files.
Compared the new file with a pre-update one I had stored for skullmodding purposes. At first glance, the newer file was 8 MB heavier. Upon further inspection after unpacking, I noticed the additional 8 MB comes from two additional .wav files, the titular sg_train1_intro.wav & sg_train1_loop.wav.
From what I see, they are identical in size and sound to sg_train_intro.wav & sg_train_loop.wav (intro and loop music files for the train stage). From testing, both in the art gallery and in the stage proper the older files continue to be used.
So far didn't find a place the new files are being used nor figured out a purpose for them to be there in the first place. That said, I curious. Anyone knows why they were added and/or what role they currently serve?
