Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 Thread

so how bout dat new Zelda

I'm intrigued, it just looks so big and has a lot of things to do.
Now, something to keep in kind.
They confirmed that there were so NPCs in the demo to avoid spoilers.
So it will feel more alive, don't worry.

I've even heard reports that they removed towns altogether for the demo as well.
So, won't be 100% wide open with nothing there, just feels empty for demo purposes

Nintendo also revealed a brand new IP in partnership with Grezzo, Ever Oasis
the game is a brainchild of the veteran Koichi Ishii, of Final Fantasy and Seiken Densetsu fame

It's a desert-based action RPG with town-building features as well. Looks very promising!

Shadow of the Skyrim was the best summary I could think of

I wouldn't exactly say that.

Last year? Yeah maybe, but this year they were just fine.

Sony had stupid VR and stupid stuff like Days Gone and Resident Ev-hill but they also had some decent meme to them (Norman Reedus, Dadtos)

Best game overall was def Zelda tho

They gave us what we wanted and didnt waste time doing it. Sony wins the e3 overall.

But the best looking game is definitely Zelda. They even removed Towns and cities out of the demo and its STILL Impossible to explore all there is in it.

Projared confirmed there was a Fire Rod hidden in the demo, as well as demonstrated eating to recover stamina while wall climbing (he still ran out 5/6 of the way up the cliff and fell to his death).

I'm curious on it as no one has put on youtube escaping the house yet. Instead they get...well...it's a bad end and leave it at that.

Maximilian got a tip from the Capcom people at E3 that the Finger will help in getting out more than the Axe.

Not sure if here or the general thread but Dead Rising 4 is confirmed to be timed
it will go to PS4 also

Oh thank God now that's only 2 games I NEED for Xbone.
XBONE's time is limited, XBONES as well, what with Project Scorpio about to blow both out of the water.

Sony Had the Presentation of the Year for E3, while Nintendo Devoted everything to One Game and had lines over 4 hours long just to get into the booth.

Measure Success in your own ways.

Yeah, honestly, I'm having a really hard time saying who exactly had the best presentation.

Sony showed the most games, and probably the games with the most polish, but in terms of actual gameplay were very same-y and uninspired (third person action game, third person shooter, first person shooter, first person walking simulator).

Nintendo quite possibly had the worst presentation because they only really showed two games (in their presentation time at least, the treehouse did get around to other releases after the fact but I wasn't watching), but honestly Breath of the Wild was probably the best game showed all event for having more than two core mechanics to it, and I absolutely love how much it's trying to shake off the Ocarina of Time formula.

Microsoft had the most balanced show with a number of games that were actually given screen time and discussion and more gameplay than two character walk through a forest and talking, and honestly I'm really really looking forward to ReCore tho I don't think anyone else is that game gets a solid 2nd place trophy right after Zelda for me, but yeah suffered from too much focus on VR and devoting even more time to Minecraft.

Honestly pretty much every show had some large element that just dragged the whole thing down for me, so I couldn't say anyone had the best presentation or won E3 or anything.
