Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

so that maybe it can magically grace the PSVita with its presence
I'm sorry but that's not happening.

PSVita version of Indivisible looks to be very unlikely. The Vita can barely run SG and it's animations. So Indivisible a game that is much larger in size will most likely have a super hard time running on the vita, even at 30fps.
SG on Vita is actually very good, I'll have you know. Now SAO: HR is something that barely runs on the Vita.

Anyway, let me hope. I know there is a 0.0001% chance it'll happen, but hey, who knows...

I'm completely neutral on TRIGGER being the studio, BUT DIRECTED BY YOH FUCKING YOSHINARI?!

For anybody curious at just a small selection of the body of work behind this legendary animator.

Well that was a fun morning!

I hope some of the production materials from Titmouse and Trigger can make it into the Art Manual or Compendium, because I'm sure they're going to do some great stuff. I guess we're just waiting to hear about the BackerKit Upgrades now.

It's also cool to see a new environment in motion. Finally we can watch the gameplay move beyond the walls of the ruins!

but hey, who knows...
Sorry to kill your hopes, but as others have said, the team has already explicitly told us no Vita, Wii U, or 3DS versions are coming. Avoiding platforms with challenged hardware like those gives them the freedom to build the game they want, helps them stay on schedule, and also saves a lot of money on porting costs. If you remember, that was one of the big problems Mighty No. 9 ran into.

If you really want a portable version, better hope and pray that the Switch has RAM.

what i meant by "Barely Run" is that it can handle SG at 60 fps [there is some frame drops here and there but it averages out to 60] Lab Zero would not have released the game onto the Vita if they were not able to get the game running at that 60fps. It's not only because they hold themselves to high standards but also fighters need to be at that 60 fps to play right.

who knows
Lab Zero. Who have stated it's NOT happening.

I dunno about anybody else, but my Backer Kit came in. I wonder how much longer Slacker Backer is going to stay open, and when/if we'll see a surge in funding due to Backer Kits.

They've already said they'd keep it open to the end of next year.

okie, okie - wasn't aware Lab Zero already released a statement on this.

Oh wow, that's plenty of time open for the Voice Acting goal to potentially be reached.

So you said you got your backer kit survey, York? Guess I'll keep an eye out, then!

What about the contest winner prizes? When can I expect them?

Yes, BackerKit surveys have started going out!
Is there going to be a site that keeps track of the funds from Upgrades? I'm guessing those amounts aren't going to show up on the IGG page, but it'd be cool if they did.

Huh.

$94k away from full VO?

Was thinking I could purchase some NPCs now that my wallet has (more) than recovered over the course of the year, but that's no longer an option.

Must have been recorded quite a while ago cause were currently $80k away and it's been going real slow past few months.

@Backers Kit I got mine and I'm happy to see a Tip Jar option. I really want that full VO but I don't really want to upgrade (at least yet).

if I had the cash I'd toss it onto the always growing pile. Seems I'm stuck with the $60 tier =\ oh well. It's still awesome that I was able to still pitch in ^_^

Threw in extra 5$. I guess this won't be visible on IndieGoGo, will it? If not, will we be able to see somewhere how much was gathered?

If you did it through IGG it should be visible. The figure is still being updated.

Something that might of been glossed over in the article and possibly by others from the recent IGG newsletter:
"Remember that Mystery Anime Studio you funded an opening from a year ago?

All told, Indivisible will feature three full minutes of top-notch animation from this stellar anime studio. Production will begin sometime next year, and we’re going to try to bring you some behind-the-scenes info about the animation process as well!"

You see it?
THREE minute opening. That's pretty solid. Usually don't see em like that unless it's Blazblue lol

Wait hold up? I said it earlier before but aren't video game voice actors on strike right now? Won't that affect the VO stretch goal?

debating on sending extra goodies.

It's only with certain companies not everyone.

There's a tip jar? Sweet. Don't worry, Lab Zero. I'm a very generous tipper ^,^

@3 minutes of animation

Hopefully the time is split up between the intro maybe some short cut scenes and an ending scene.
Like 90 second opening, 90 second ending. Or 60 sec opening, 6 10second short scenes, 60 second ending give or take time.

The goal was for an animated opening. Specifically.

Sorry if this has been asked, i've been super out of the loop: But how does the Limited Edition physical copy work with PC as a platform? Is it DRM free? Is it steamworks?

IE, if I select PC for the physical copy and PC for my digital digital copy, would I be, essentially, be getting two steam versions of the game, and would I have to send one of them to somebody else for both to be used? Or would the physical one not be attached to steam or any particular digital distribution platform and the digital copy would be?

Yay Trigger!
Edit: Here's the best example of Trigger animation

But that's not Turning Girls, which makes even Inferno Cop look high budget. It's so cheap Trigger doesn't even credit themselves for it.

I love all the good news! The thread was starting to rot a bit.

But the bad news is.... this is the poorest i've been in months. At least I have until the end of the month to scrounge some stuff up. At the very least, I want my name in the credits of this to-be masterpiece, which isn't that much, right?

Also, from the Christina V video, thank God The UI now shows the X/O/Triange/Square icons for each character. That was a major source of "Wait, dafuq am i doing?" for me in the prototype. I wonder if it will support letters and numbers for keyboard.

So how does shipping work, exactly? I remember it said 15$ on the IGG page for physical goods, do I add that amount to my pledge or...?

Is it DRM free?
In the past they said it was, in the backerkit it says Steam as the option in the physical category. So, they either changed it or it's an oversight.

Some people are saying that the $15 International Shipping they pledged is displaying as a credit on BackerKit. If that's the case for you, and it doesn't let you put it towards shipping yet, I guess don't do anything with it until we hear more from Peter.

Did you play on PC? The UI displays Playstation controls on the PS4 version. We'll have to see if it recognizes unique controllers on PC, but I wouldn't be surprised if it stays B1/B2/B3/etc. to keep things simple. That's what Button Config is for!
