So word on the grapevine is that multiple sources are confirming Melee being a Virtual Console. Not only that, a smash 4 port is rumored to be coming as well as a Director's Cut. Said director's Cut is supposed to come with 2 characters not in either the wii u or 3ds Ports, so extremely likely the IC crew is coming back.

What do you guys think?
 
I don't really follow amiibos, kind of wanted Ryu and Bayo out of novelty, did those ever come out?

Ryu has been out forever, we are still waiting for Cloud, Corrin and Bayonetta

If there is a Super Super Smash Bros with new characters, I honestly would rather they use the ballot to pick two more brand new characters

Why does everyone want an enhanced port of Smash 4 anyways? I'd rather Sakurai just make a brand new one with a mix of features from both versions of Smash 4, bring back the Melee style Adventure Mode but with a few tweaks from other modes, new characters, new stages, fuck, new almost everything.

It's Pokken and Mario Maker that I'd just be happy getting enhanced ports of. (Of course a full blown sequel to Pokken is welcome too)

Because a port is far more likely than an entire new game? Think realistically is all I'm saying.

Also people who have 3DSes but not Wii Us (the true successor to the Wii U, the Wii Us), who are betting on the Switch being better/having more games they want.

Also, I doubt Nintendo would have money to add enough guest characters in a new smash game and top the current one.

I mean, mega man, cloud, pac man... It may not have snake, but it's a stellar roster.

Also, every smash game takes a heavy toll on Sakurai. I'm not sure he'll be up for another game for quite some time.

Last but not least, Sakurai said in an interview he decided to spend the money he'd use in a story mode in the trailers instead, since the story mode is uploaded to YouTube hours after the game is launched and he believes it kills the fun of it.

I'd hope that Konami was such a pain to deal with when it comes to Solid Snake that Nintendo learned and put a "You can't argue if we put this game on another platform with your character, we'll pay you a little but still" in the documents or something to avoid a situation like that
 
smash switch would be cool
i only have a couple things I'd really want
  • Ice Climbers and Wolf are back
  • Bomberman (still fuck konami though)
  • ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRMS
  • Marth and Roy have their english voices
  • all customs are unlocked from the starts and you just gain equipment
  • Ganon buffs

But he already hits like a rocket truck. He sucks, but how does he get buffed without being broken. That would be more like a complete redesign (which they should do but they clearly aren't going to).

I saw that there were scrapped uh, not models but like the wireframe or something for a character for Petey Piranha found recently. That's interesting. Maybe it was for the 3DS mode? I know it'd super piss off every single person who begged for K Rool if he actually got in tho haha
 
Wouldn't surprise me if the Petey wireframe was simply leftover content from Brawl.

Oh, my apologies I should've mentioned the video I saw mentioned that they weren't actually leftover animations (at least from the brawl disc)
