Why not?

It's been confirmed that Scarecrow looks the way he looks because he's an avatar of the Black now.

They might as well make the Joker a Black Lantern at this point.

Ther eis a distinct lack of Arkahm Gear there, sad.
I do kinda like how he has vials of Fear Gas hanging by his side in some of those though, them resembling Lanterns is pretty good too

In case you haven't heard, the reason why Scarecrow is back is because he's an Avatar of the Black now.

I'd say that's surprising, but someone on GameFAQ's called it.

I have so many questions about this.

I hope that's not actually the case because I was kinda hoping Scarecrow would be semi-normal like Joker, just a bunch of gadgets/underhanded shit to get the job done, with his actual appearance being a Fear Toxic hallucination, him being a metahuman kinda makes him not as awesome but I'll still use him

Also, if the Black wanted to choose someone who wants to protect death and shit, why not make The Joker the Avatar?

I mean, he isn't likely to listen to his new masters, but he'd still do a lot of murder.

As long as he doesn't have a Nightmare before Christmas / Jack Skellington vibe I am Ok with it. So far I am happy with the cast and the temptation to get the ultimate edition is very real.

My only wish is to have Joker not be in the same lame joke low tier as last time.
 
I really wanna get Ultimate Edition, but, some problems
2/3 of the skins are ones I'm not crazy about (Power Girl, John Stewart)
The Shaders are exclusive
and it's $100 ($85 with Amazon Prime) for something with no physical goodies, I might be better off buying the DLC piecemeal/ in passes
Plus...
We don't know any of the DLC characters yet.
 
I will most likely get the ultimate edition. I have liked 99% of the DLC NRS provides for their games and it is the better deal over piecemeal buying for me. Physical extras for fighting games is usually disappointing.
 
Looks great. If I do get this game, he's definitely gonna be my main.

 
Tomorrow at the Watchtower we get Harley Quinn and Wonder Woman gameplay, and on the 23rd, the day after, character reveals.
Hoping it's some Batman characters, if Joker really is in I wanna see how they changed his trait.
Because fucking Hell, him having a parry made no sense gameplay wise or character wise.

A thing I just realized about the Ultimate Edition yesterday, do you think it'll also come with any and all costumes that release? As in, does it come with packs or just the characters? Because Mortal Kombat X had each character be accompanied by 3 character skins, but also released unrelated skin packs every so often (Brazil, Mortal Kombat Klassic, and Revolution) that weren't included in the Season Pass.
 
Something about Cyborg's armor reminds me of Portal. Looks plastic-like.

So what do you guys think they'll do for Skins? Because it seems Skins might be out of the question, unless they're Skins that have no gear, or Skins that can have extra gear put on them.
I do hope we get more than just the 3 Premier skins though lordy

I just hope that a lot of the Season pass is like MK X, as in, you get characters + skins (premier skins), if skins are sold separately like some of the packs in MK X oh man am I gonna be a baked potato.
 
Because of the armor upgrades making visual changes to the characters, I highly doubt NRS will dabble too much into alternate skins. Taking a wild guess, I would say that there will be at least 2-3 skins for each character, then have the main characters like Superman or Batman have 4-5.
 
Skins could be effectless gear or a new base model to place gear over. And since most people will be watching the competitive side of things having alt costumes makes a lot of sense

New Skin to place gear over is how I imagined Premier skins, but effectless gear sounds just as likely, and also wouldn't go Pay To Win.
The only skins I'd really want are for Red Hood if he's in, something that makes him and his voice

Well, maybe that Premium Skin of John Stewart will be good.
I didn't enjoy Green Lantern's gimmick of do a bunch of grabs with your trait so I hope his moveset is VASTLY improved

After watching the Flash-Point Paradox I think I'm getting Ultimate Edition just for Reverse Flash and John Stewart, yowza.
I just hope that I'll be getting every single piece of DLC Or I'll be a mad little Jutsei.

Just holdin' out for Red Hood as DLC

Seriously though Green Lantern get a better moveset your I1 one sucked
