Original Charaters! Sonics not welcome.

Well ok here's my opinion.

Don't think of this as a SG OC think of this as a regular character your making for a fighter.

Now the withered fighter idea could be done, but for SG it would be too much animation work, but we're not seeing this as a character in SG. I'm just bringing it up cause it would require work no matter who does it.

The idea of making a character stronger for a game based on an internal clock is also bad. Say I would want to hop online and play this new fighter you created. Someone who's in a different time zone than you is either going to be weaker than the base character stats or way stronger than the base character starts. And who's to say I wouldn't change my computers internal clock just so I was stronger than everyone else in this new fighter you made. There's gimmicky and unfair, this would be unfair.

When I make characters, OC or not, I think how they would work from a gameplay perspective rather than just throwing what sounds cool. This doesn't just apply to fighters.

As for the others, no real opinion.

Ah, but here's the thing - wouldn't adding in these unique features get the game more attention? Let's look at another example - The End in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The ability to cheat the internal clock and let him die of old age was a huge deal back in the day. In fact, I believe that Kojima initially wanted the boss fight to last a full two weeks. Now, this is an extreme example, of course, but my point is that it made the game memorable and instantly cemented what could have been an otherwise forgettable character into gamers minds.

Tekken 7 has a Vampiric character, too. And she is awful. She has horns for Gods sake, oh, and her breasts get larger. Let's say SkullGirls was to include a Vampiric character, don't you think it would be even the slightest bit interesting to play around with their nocturnal sleep schedule, or the rejuvinative powers of them drinking blood? It would help them instantly stand out.

The problem with that is not about attention, people hate playing broken fighters that's why X Tekken died.

The thing with Metal gear is that's a single player game not a multiplayer game, plus metal gear is infamous for breaking the 4th wall. But it's a single player game so it's not unfair as a fighter.

Also tekken 7 uses 3-D models which are easier to manipulate since they're 3-D rather than hand drawn sprites.

The problem is not giving SG attention, the problem is making it last. If it's a good fighter it will last but attention doesn't keep a fighter alive or popular being a good game is.

The character would not work in any kind of fighter.

Hmmm, what if - instead of the power up - the character was only playable at night? That way it would still use the nocturnal dynamic, but keep things fair? I mean, if you're going to do a Vampire, do them right. At least Tekken set the bar very, very low.

I would say a blood mechanic bar could work (Eliza was supposed to have one but they couldn't cause of memory.)

If you only make them playable at night that means you can touch them unless it's nighttime at your location.

Okay, how about some more ideas? Just a brainstorm.

- A Red Baron-esque fighter pilot?
- A nightmarish white rabbit, based on the classic movie Harvey?
- A character based on the radio serial The Shadow, who was a shadowy vigilante with hypnotic powers.
