Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

hey i feel you.

If 505 Games funds for the Switch Port it would be really really cool.

You don't know HOW... MANY... PEOPLE have asked Lab Zero for a WIIU port of SkullGirls. [Ignoring the hardware limits of the WiiU, the time and money needed to port SG over to the WiiU would be just too much, especially for a console that is now very very dead.]

So that would make those people really happy.

"What are some recent games you have enjoyed playing?"

...Recent games, or games that I've recently played? What counts as a recent game? One year? Two years? Five years?

I tend not to play games that were recently released, I pick up games that are a few years old and have had plenty of time to become well-regarded, get patches and DLC, and have price discounts. I largely avoid dedicated discussions where spoilers would be an issue.

I feel like I'm not helpful on this survey since I'm just an outlier. My favorite games are like God Hand and Killer7, the shows I've been recently watching aired in the 60's and 70's.

And I'm not planning on buying a Switch until it has more stuff on it (so a year and a half at least), honestly there should have been a straight up "how interested are you in Indivisible on the Switch" question because I would have answered that positively. Portable Indivisible would actually be a bit of a selling point to me for the console.

From further question about TV shows it seems it's just what you played recently. And IMO it's enough if you give them last 3 games you played.

I think the last three games I've played are all from the last five years... so good enough!

Hey man, my favorite game is Katawa Shoujo and that's what I wrote. :P

Well, I also wrote Skullgirls and Paper Mario TTYD.

This genre question... I'm going to assume "Adventure" means old-school point-and-clicks.

As perverted as that game was,
Eh? It just doesn't pull punches. Even Emi is kinda low on the pervert scale.

And that's still a misuse of the word. It's just... a rather common misuse.

Bit puzzled by the fact that "Fighting" was not one of the genres listed.

Tweet don't even load for me...

Also "perverted" lel. We've all wanted to put it in an armless/blind/deaf/ect girl at least once. Eh, you wouldn't understand, you ain't a guy :bbb.

Yeah I was surprised by that too.

Looks like 505 duped the public poll before I requested that change - it should've been in the one we sent via e-mail to a select few IGG backers, because I watched them add it.

Heh, nothing all day yesterday and suddenly almost 500$ added over night and backer kit got updated.

We are $129 away from full VO.

Get to it. :P

If these last couple months hadn't left me pretty broke I'd buy a T-shirt and a second Roti right now just to put it over.

And there we go.

VO Funded.

$249,959 left for multiple endings + Hardcore Bonus Dungeon.

I love me some good voice acting. Makes so many characters truly come to life for me.

I'm officially 100% satisfied with this campaign.

Yup $2,050,041! Have fun with that Cristina!

I want that dungeon and multiple endings as much as anyone, but looking at the numbers it would be require some pretty crazy pushes to get there, the new merch and the beta hopefully drawing people in could do quite a bit, but even so that's extreme difference.

We basically made around $140,000 in around 14 months. We'd need the last $250,000 in the roughly 9 months we have left.

Not saying "don't hope" and certainly not "don't bother", all further donations still go into the game if we don't get there, so it's certainly worth trying and won't even be a failure if we don't reach it, the fact this game got funded at all is still something to view as a triumph, let alone the goals. I'm sure most of you remember how rough the campaign period was.

You're taking me more seriously than you should, ha. Of course I'm happy with what we've got.

BUT this is Lab Zero. Numbers and deadlines regularly don't mean jack when the chips are down. It's like a messed up Brave power. [emoji14] There's a good chance that last goal might not be hit but I'm still gonna beat the drums for it.

Slap those Bongos with all of your might.

Nothing too interesting. Some gameplay questions, what's your fave games/tv shows.. maybe some kinda Switch question..

Now, to await Cristina's Thank you video XD

Pretty sure the soon to be beta will bring in several more people to support the game Possibly a Switch release too 'w'

That survey probably helped 505 out a lot. They hadn't really tapped Indivisible's supporters yet to find out what kind of gamers we were, so now they're probably starting to gather analytics on how and where to best market the game closer to release. It's possible that Indivisible might be filling a niche for them they want to capitalize on.

I wonder if they've tapped the Bloodstained audience yet too. You guys think the average responses would be any different between the two fanbases? It's possible that the two games will actually be tapping the same group, just on two different scales.

Maybe. They still feel pretty different in terms of combat, progression, abilities, items, grinding and stuff. Overlap is there, sure, but I feel like they cater to different aspects of explorative platformers.

If we reach the next goal, all multiple endings will be good, right?

wouldn't a switch port as a stretch goal be a good idea instead of 505 funding it?
it would boost it some more, there's been plenty of "will there be an NX version?" during the campaign
that is, if it's happening at all

releasing both the demo and switch port stretch goal in the same timeframe is sure to garner hype to fund it and maybe the multiple endings, too

Both games appeal heavily to people nostalgic for PS1-era gaming though. Back then it was pretty common to see a fan of a game like SOTN also enjoy a lighter toned RPG like BOF3 or FF9, and vice versa. Under the hood, there could be a lot of similar tastes there, particularly in regards to stuff like the genre rankings, and Top 3 favorite games.

Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how 505 handles things between the two games next year.

Ok. Just want to avoid bad endings when I play this masterpiece.

stating the game is a masterpiece before it's even finished....

please don't do that. I understand the likelyhood of Lab Zero messing up this game are very slim, it doesn't excuse the fact that you can't judge something as amazing before it's even done.

I'm sorry.

i see it got enough for the full VO

this is some pretty great news

I'm sorry.
Nah we get you. We're all pretty excited too, but yeah, it's definitely smarter to hold reasonable expectations for now.

Personally I'm keeping myself in the camp of "If it's at least the Prototype, but bigger, I'm good." Not everyone would consider that a masterpiece, but I'd still be having a lot of fun with it for sure.
