Skullgirls Mobile General Discussion

Is there any risk of getting in trouble for doing this?
 
I can't guarantee anything, but I don't believe so. I did the same with a bunch of games with awkward releases. Kingdom Hearts X for example.

Again though, if you are worried at all, just wait until the official launch. It'll hopefully only be a few weeks at the longest.

I play out of region games on my phone all the time and have even spent money on one. Never had any issues on the android side of things. I can't speak for ios but I doubt it would be an issue even there.
 
For anyone playing... are they having trouble using Peacock's Painwheel's launcher? It was fine until I upgraded her combo string, and now it doesn't seem to be a true combo going from Tap Tap Tap Tap Launcher :/

Hm... Not really? Albeit I haven't touched the upgrades very much (I have this hilarious tick where I'll save up till I have a surplus and then spend all of it.) but in general I feel Peacock is a teeny bit troubling to hold down until I sorta slow down a tad and then try? Sorry if this doesn't help much! I'll see if I can emulate the combo upgrades and see what happens sometime!
 
I couldn't help but notice a lack of a certain airport of doom in this version of the game. Did that Blockbuster get removed? :(

I recall seeing it once on an AI opponent Peacock, but too bad I won before she even got to use it.
 
Snagged me a v1.1.1 apk for my Kyrocera Hydro cellphone. If I wanted to play skullgirls at 10fps I'll load up my laptop version T~T Everything runs fine but the battles are sslloowww

Installing it to my Samsung Galaxy 3 tablet now. Might be a while since I haven't turned this sucker on in years and it's hogging all my bandwidth on stupid updates I can't cancel T~T

Sorry, I meant Painwheel, not Peacock.
It's Painwheel's multi hitting final combo hit that's giving me trouble.
Oh... Gotcha! Yeah, I think I see what you mean in terms of Painwheel, usually it just doesn't work for me at all and just... Lags really a lot so I had to really use it situationally. That said, I haven't played Painwheel on Second Encore since like the first time I played and did all the other story modes so if it's any measure, is this really supposed to happen in terms of her attack? (I'm not sure if this was really done so to speak so she doesn't go into "flying" mode super quick on mobile.)

Sorry if this has been answered already but are there any plans to add more characters at/post launch aside from Eliza?

I know lore-wise it wouldn't make much sense for Squigly, Fortune, or Beo to be there yet, but Double is definitely around and Robo-fortune isn't canon anyway so I don't see an issue throwing her in if possible.

I seem to recall they said this game would jump around and show storylines from all over the Skullgirls timeline, so it's not specifically restricted to Prequels. Could be wrong on that though!

If it does stick to prequels, then Double and Beo are both fair game. Double is hundreds/thousands of years old and Beo was a wrestler 14 years ago until dropping out of the ring. He was still around.
(There's actually a bug already where you can get Beo's character coin to display. Probably just because he's alphabetically the first character)
Fukua and Robo Fortune are both viable as non-canon and could just be stuck in for whatever reason. Fire Emblem Heroes has clear canon / non-canon story sections, so it's not unheard of.

They could even use characters like Isaac to bring characters forward and backwards in time if they want... Skullgirls as a universe is pretty open ended so there's any number of reasons to make characters playable.

Regardless of the reason, it is very expensive to produce Skullgirls characters. You can bet your butt they're going to use all the existing animations they have! Everyone who is playable in Skullgirls on consoles is basically guaranteed to show up on mobile.
 
How do you think Eliza will be implemented? It looks like she'll have a unique blockbuster to trigger Sekhmet.

There's a time limit, and a button that only comes up when you use this blockbuster that I guess lets you return to Eliza before the timer runs out. So far the best Eliza characters I've seen are Bloody Valentine (regain health instantly when either fighter uses a special move) and Diva Intervention (regain health based on damage done by Sekhmet).

It exists, but I've never seen it drop. Maybe it's a very rare drop or not available for players at all. I get the feeling it's only available for opponents in the current version (like Eliza and all her moves).

It's a level 3 blockbuster that's essentially the same as the one from beta.

The Untouchable Peacock in this stage of the expert difficulty Peacock event seems to always spawn with this blockbuster, if you want to check it out yourself.

This skill tree thing (I heard injustice has something similar?) is genius. There needs to be something like this in skullgirls!! With traits & little symbols with people's health bar to to denote the major skill treee they put points into @Mike_Z

Hey Nuuance,

- Skullgirls is finished and received its final patch a few days ago.
- I think this would make Skullgirls an uneven playing field which favors the player who has a better skill tree over the player just starting out.
- Mike Z is working on Indivisible and is very busy.
- This post is slightly off topic.

This is probably something that would be better to bring up if Skullgirls 2 starts development.

I own the same phone, and no, as far as everything is going, there won't be an update that fixes that. The problem is that the HTC 530 and many others are running on a Quad-core processor, which can't run the game well if anything will cause nasty amounts of lag and such. You'd need a device that runs with an Octa-core processor or higher. Cheapest octa core phone i know is the Huawei Y11 Compact.
