Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

From this announcement the beta could drop two weeks from now.
No no

We could hear what the release date IS two weeks from now :^)
Update said:
We’ll have more information on the Backer Preview’s release date soon

So in two weeks we'll hear that the release date is two weeks.

I wish it was also console, but I know it won't be. Oh well. Hope this shitty laptop'll run it at a decent speed.

What, the backer preview? The Twitter said forever ago one of the main setbacks for its release was they were trying to put it on consoles, so that's the plan as far as we've been told.

wasn't that in context of the prototype?
I don't think so, that was just the same reason given for not releasing the updated prototype, which was stated at Anime Expo if I recall correctly.

I know. just stinks I'm stuck with this crappy laptop when I have som'in more powerful at the ready =\ stupid broken desktop...

I'd totally empty out my paypal account if they land the console version with updates.

...truthfully I wouldn't.. been trying to save that for my pc parts T~T

you could almost say then that the pun was....CATastrophic :3

I'm not original but I do not care! :PUJNA:

You guys better stop before this thread turns into a monstruocity.

Double post because different topic.

With Yooka-Laylee being not that great I don't feel like donating an extra 30 dolla for that PS4 physical. I know what you're all thinking. I like Lab0, I'm sure the beta will change my mind, but it's stuff like this that hits you, you know?

Yes, I'll wait for the beta to come around and see what happens. Sorry, but these kickstarters disappointments really do influence me over studios that know their shit more.

Fuck.

I get you but i guess those are two different situations ? Idk
But yeah throwing money like that isn't that much of a good idea, as much as i adore lab0 and everything we got shown so far...

Anyway, are you guys hyped to try anyone else in particular? Really looking forward to see Qadira and Honey/Ginseng ! And at the same time see the new stuff the prototype guys have in hand 'w' !

Sangmu, I bet her animations will be outstanding.

Look at this little cutie.

isn't she the best?

Really looking forward to Samsung~

I really hope L0 thinks up some sort of incentive for not using the same 2 combos (damage, meter-build) for the entire game.

... Dude. this is Lab Zero we're talking about. Heck, this is Mike Z we're talking about. I'm pretty sure he'll make sure we won't be using the same 2 same old combos every battle. I remember him talking about how certain combos will restore some action gauge, others will allow for better follow up, ect.

I'll admit, I do have sorta the same worry. We're talking about an RPG, which usually has a pretty indepth story arc. In roughly 2 years? But I still have faith the team'll pull it off.

remember they were able to hire new people ontop of the old team to help out. And I'm sure they had a system planned out to make sure things run as smoothly as possible.

Remember the Prototype was made with only a couple of the team members in 3 months while they were still kinda working on SG's final patches. And to think now with a full team plus a ton on contract animators and roughly 4 million dollars in funding, you can bet that Lab Zero's got some strength to really push some good stuff out.

That post there gave me some hope. Still waiting for the beta, but feels better.

Well LZ is a team that released a top-quality game not long before starting this project.

Yooka-Leyle and Mighty No. 9 were made by a team of nobodies with a few random guys from Rare/Capcom, who didn't work on any great project for quite a while. (at least to my knowledge).

Those situations aren't close to equal IMO.

Sure LZ could screw this up but their history is way more reasurring.

and!

if Lab Zero were to screw up, you can bet they would do their best to make up for it. These guys are honest and over all good people. They would never try to screw over their customers/fans.

And you know... they've not only inspired me to get deeper into Game Dev, but also they've shown me how to be an honest and kind person to others.

in the end, i have complete faith in Lab Zero. I know they're going to make a great game, and that they're going to give 110% when working on it.

I can't. Emailed support hopefully it helps.
Were they able to fix it? I'm surprised resending the survey to your e-mail didn't work. Make absolutely sure you entered the same e-mail you backed with on IGG, because that's usually what the issue is.
I know what you're all thinking. I like Lab0, I'm sure the beta will change my mind, but it's stuff like this that hits you, you know?
I don't think people should ever crowdfund beyond what's practical for them. If owning a physical edition isn't all that important for you, and adding the extra $30 is stretching you thin, then definitely don't do it.

However, and this goes for anybody...if you try out the Backer Preview and really enjoy it, and you think the LE would be nice to have, definitely find a way to jump on that $60 tier before it's too late. You know LabZero isn't kidding when they say there probably won't be another print of these things, and I doubt 505's retail version is going to give people as much bang for their buck.

As far as how I feel about the potential quality of the game, I have confidence in LabZero because, like with Skullgirls, they're making a game they want to play. With so many quality games as their references for this one, and how picky they still are about those games, I feel like all Indivisible really needs to do is meet their standards to turn out awesome. Like I've said before, I don't really care if Indivisible is the greatest game ever made or not, just as long as it's fun to play. So far I've had a blast playing the Prototype, and so the only worry I really have is whether or not we'll get those Bonus Dungeons!

Oh yeah, and Zahra being playable. That'd be nice too.

And yeah, same as Ninja, i have a lot of faith in L0, they're really hard-working and enthusiastic about what they do and love. They can do it (ง •̀_•́)ง

I would make another post about L0 being awesome but fuck it. They just beyond awesome professionals and gamedesigners. There's no way they'll slack on anything they had power to make great.

From what I've heard, the main gripe with Yooka-Laylee is that they delivered what they promised, but what they promised wasn't a fully modern game and it had some of the past's clunkiness. It would be like complaining the shiny new intro for Indivisible looks too anime... even though the goal specifically says, "anime intro."

You know, I'm willing to bet that's actually going to happen.

And sadly, even when the Backer Preview is out, there will probably still be people surprised by the ATB combat, call it a dated concept, and request a toggle to turn it off.
