Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

I personally feel like JRPG is a dated concept in and of itself. But since the only game I played in like 3 years is Shovel Knight, I'm not the one to judge =ъ

You know, I'm willing to bet that's actually going to happen.

And sadly, even when the Backer Preview is out, there will probably still be people surprised by the ATB combat, call it a dated concept, and request a toggle to turn it off.

i can totally see it, I mean people find a way to complain about everything.

I do love ATB rpgs, I prefer them to simple turn based, it's more dynamic to begin with to me.

Oh yeah forgot about that.
Well i guess i'll try every possible combination

2017 and Lab Zero still hasn't hired a proofreader.

Oh man, sucks that happened. It's almost too bad we shutdown that fake campaign site a year ago, because they duplicated the whole thing, so that would have made for an easy backup. Glad you guys are on top of it though.

maybe maybe~

It would be cool to see some character specific trailers. Showing off some of their story missions and what not.

the little character bumps were cool and all. But i've been itching for more.

OH OH!!!

I would like a Trailer of Naga Rider and it's in the style of a classic Japanese TV commercial from the 80's

that would cool and cheesy as all heck.

I can totally see a trailer for Naga Rider done like those next episode previews from 80s tokusatsu, with a dramatic narrator and an excited title (like The Hero of Justice! Naga Rider is Born!! or something like that dfhjsdksd )

Tbh excited to see what the trailers will look like, I remember the ones from Skullgirls were really good, with gameplay, some fun quotes and cool visuals. I assume since it's not the same type of game they won't be made exactly the same way though, also there's more characters and all...
On a related note the character spotlight trailers for Shantae and the Pirate's Curse were pretty fun too, with scenes involving the character of the day being shown and all

Aah i'm just pretty excited about it

I wouldn't expect character trailers this early, but I'd love it if they did a Sizzle Reel style trailer for the Backer Preview. They could feature new concept/story art along with bits of the new gameplay, and maybe give newer followers a hint of the larger scope of the game they're working on. I think the more hype LabZero can push at this point, while also teasing people's imaginations, the better!

surprised no one's said anything about this 5 hour old post
Swinging back to this Backer Preview topic for a sec, I think it'll be a lot of fun watching what kind of strategies are formed with the new teams.
I'm going try out all of the characters to find my favorite, but here are my blind predictions:

Easy Mode Team (Shortest Learning Curve) - Zebei, Dhar, Ginseng & Honey
Hard Mode Team (Biggest Learning Curve) - Tungar, Qadira, Razmi

Basically, I think changes to the Prototype characters, and the new Enemy behaviors, are going to throw off a lot of folks who thought they had the game figured out before. So, a team with overall quick meter gain, short recovery, and reliable healing is going to become the favorite for reaching the end. It will be awesome if people find relative success and challenge with any team combination though!

hah hah ah ha ha ha

The belly flop.

oh man, what a silly attack. Can't wait for Ajna to walk up to him and just parry it, and then suplex him.

[omg i think people forgot that Ajna has that parry into suplex thnig]

A big fan of this frame in particular, hahah

Also oh yeah i forgot about the suplex Ajna is supposed to have? Can't wait to see it in action 'w'

well mike did show it off at A Salty stream after the campaign was funded. I'm sure it's out there on youtube somewhere.

we got to see Ajna suplex the boss from the prototype. and it was silly as heck.

That was pretty good. And i remember him saying something after along the lines of "If you can't (figure out?) what comes after this (you're dumb?)" or something, so I assume he means the suplex we saw upgrades to a REAL FF/Kirby suplex where she goes all the way off the top of the screen. Should be hysterical if performed on something big/small/inanimate enough.

P.S FINALLY put my survey in WE IN THERE MAN. Couldn't really figure out what the difference between the 75$ and 100$ tiers were aside from the game key, but because L0 is L0 i obviously went for the bigger amount. Regardless I am ready for that Beta.

$75 tier is digital only, so it didn't have the Physical Game or Physical OST. You got da good stuff.

Are you referring to the Anime Expo panel?

Lanshi is a nice pupper dog.

I love that pupper and i hope we see more of him, really looking forward to that character.

Lanshi is basically gonna be Thor in the form of a dog. A big fluffy dog that could totally kill you with out even trying.

I wanna get to know Leilani more

This reads kinda weird out of context dfdf

Oh yeah I've realized
Am i the only one who sees a resemblance between the original Leilani design and Honey & Ginseng

btw? like

The hair (both style and color) the eyes, its weird
I wonder if Leilani got a redesign and some aspects of the original design were put in our botanist friend (this reads weird too, damn )

(Also forgive the crappy collage all i have on this computer is paint)

i think it's because

1. Both characters were designed by Alex Ahad. [atleast i think... if not then it's still in his style]

and 2. They are both from similar regions. Leilani is from an island much like Hawaii and Honey_Ginseng is from Indonesia just like Ajna. Both places are not that far away, and it is possible for people from Indonesia to travel to the islands of Hawaii. So there would be some alikeness due to where they grew up in.

First art was made by Mariel
i took it from the art she made when indivisible got funded
Idk about the model sheet but it looks like her style at the very least

I believe Leilani's original design was drawn by Junkpuyo. He also did Zahra, Tatanka, and Qadira I think. The model sheets are probably a group effort in any case.

I can see some resemblance, but I figure it's just a coincidence. I've seen some comparisons between Ginseng & Honey and Nuna too, and some people even think they might be a replacement for Nuna. I really hope that isn't the case.
