It's Capcom that doesn't know how to dress him.
 
I can agree to hate his stupid costume and Phantom Blood arms. He looks fun from the trailer, though honestly his move list is kind of concerning, I plan to go in with an open mind but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have negative feelings about what I'm seeing.
 
At least he's not a charge character like his two daddys.

This flat out isn't true. And even if it were Ed has no motions other than double quarter circle for his super.
 
Ed isn't a motion character
he's literally a buttons character taken to their logical extreme

also charge characters are only unfun if you don't know how to buffer and think that playing a charge character is just "guess I better hold down-back the entire match"

I mean, I love Guile, but I still prefer playing a non-charge character.

hell, my favorite version of Chunners is where her Kikouken is a motion.

It's not that charge characters are inherently bad, more that Street Fighter V has so many.
 
Chun, Alex, FANG, Urien, Necalli, Guile, Bison, Balrog. Ayup. That's a lot.
