I Need Help Drawing Poses For A Ninja-Like Character

Currently drawing cosplays for my main oc peep Max of certain characters I like from fighting games.
At first, It was going pretty well since I was able to make something I was quite proud of when I took a shot
at drawing Amane from Blazblue

But Then I took a shot at drawing Hibiki...

God this guy is hard to nail down!

The clothing and Features are the easy part, Hey I already know how I want to incorporate
the piece of cloth that hangs off of him like a scarf. But the guy's poses...

I have no idea how to draw them and to be honest that's part of the reason I wanna ya know?
There so dynamic and lively; I just wanna use them everywhere but can't because I just don't
know where to begin.

Whether it's a link to a tutorial, Amazing references to those kinds of movements/poses or you yourself
showing how it's done with a doodle or two. I really would appreciate any help I can get on this venture =)

I haven't heard of construction drawing yet but it sounds like something that's really familiar to what I do now. Where I basically draw the outline of a stick figure I pose like so and just add detail =)
