That's a pretty bad case of helmet hair if i saw one :^)

Ahh he looks great, loving that blocking frame (?), really feels like the armor is alive in some form.

Add-ons?
@Ravidrath teased new backerkit add-ons as a thing a while back, probably on Neogaf. I asked him if he had an idea of when they'd be announced earlier in the year and he was hoping for AX, now it appears that's not happening. Still, I'm excited for whenever they do show up, would be nice to have some extra things to help fund the last revealed stretch goal.

I have no clue, let's hope it's just a visual reference because i quite dislike venom as a character. :^)

And yeah, likewise, excited to see that new stuff. Brian also teased a reveal in today's stream for AX if I recall correctly.

Oh god, it's like if Alphonse's helmet could open its mouth... and had actual eyes...

I figured we'd only see Naga Rider's actual face outside of battle. He's a superhero, after all.

Also considering that they've only started working on roughs for him from what we've seen, he will almost not be ready anytime soon unless they secretly have a whole bunch of cleaned up work for him stashed away somewhere.
 
The plan as I understand it is to continually update the backer build with new stuff, though obviously keeping the actual environment spoiler free.

I wonder if we'll cycle platforming challenges and the like though since we are supposedly balance testing the game, though I guess that might only mean combat balance.

I find it odd they used the prototype screenshots, while everything now is technically temp too I guess it at least shows something closer to the final product.

Glad they finally did the Baozhai breakdown! I noticed that cannon attack animation is different than the one Mariel worked on a while ago. I wonder if this ended up replacing the previous one, or if they're really two different attacks. Maybe the other one was for her Super?

I don't think the archive for that animation stream is still up, unfortunately, but I remember it also had some interesting animation notes with it. Apparently, she might shoot off everything from cannonballs, to rockets, to whiskey bottles out of those things.

I've been really interested to see her in the game, because it sounds like she'll have godlike AoE, but the trade off is the risk of getting your teammates blown up if you don't time your combo right. It'll be neat to find out what team combos will compliment her attacks best. Maybe a full zoning team (ArrowAj-Razmi-Zebei-Baozhai)?

Yeah, that's been there since the new website went up. I've been keeping my eye on it, since I figure they might update it right around the time the Backer Preview goes out. They'll probably use it mainly for managing feedback and bug reports.

i was about to sign up and i realized "nah that's probably not a good idea, from the looks of it it's just Lab Zero guys there. so they must be working on stuff. Don't want me running around there."
 
Hm... something just occurred to me, I hope we can assign platforming tool and battle weapon separately. I don't want to have to go to the menu and unequip the bow or axe at the sight of an enemy because I'm running Spear Ajna.

They did say they're trying to make a way so you can switch weapons on the fly.
