A noobie who enjoys Combos needs help.

I recently bought Skullgirls on Steam and I'm having trouble getting into the game, i just can't find the one character who i like and can do combos with, I learned how to do basic cerebella combos, but I just don't like that character, I love big band's character but I'm not good at doing his brass knuckles, so do you guys have any ideas on who I should play as a beginner who has easy combos that feel nice to execute?
